The Ambush boots combine lightning fast entry with lightweight materials for the ultimate in quick strike capabilities. Shockingly light without sacrificing strength or support, the Ambush introduces Total Comfort, a Burton-exclusive construction that brings a broken-in feel right out of the box. Futuristic outsoles put you behind the wheel with greater control and a higher degree of impact protection. Hook yourself up with the Burton Ambush Boots if you feel like bombarding some other part of your life, like your feet, with lightweight cushiony awesomeness.
Flex
Flex Rating: 5 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - Perfect for all-day comfort and performance
Oversized Flex Notches - These strategically placed flex notches allow for smoother, more fluid lateral and medial flex, perfect for pressing and tweaking.
Flex Spine Backstays - Get effortless medial and lateral mobility with ample edge-to-edge support when it's time to throw down the landing gear.
Lightweight Power Panels - To ensure consistent flex from day 1 to 100, this boot features strategically placed Power Panels that return to their original position even after being deeply flexed.
Fit
Medium Flex 3D® Molded Tongues - Adjusting the profile of the tongue’s thickness controls its flex, enhances its ability to wrap the forefoot and reduces shell/liner stack-up for improved comfort.
NEW Wishbone Upper Cuff - The NEW Wishbone Upper Cuff defies convention, combining power and freedom into one. Picking up where the Crossbone Cuff left off, it features Jumper Cables on both the medial and lateral sides for twice the snap, rebound, and life without sacrificing the high tweakability of a softer boot.
Focus Cuff - Boosting heel-hold by hugging that sweet spot around your ankle, the Focus Cuff rides slightly higher on your ankle for increased response.
Shrinkage™ Footprint Reduction Technology - This reduces the boot's overall footprint one size, meaning a men's size 10 fits like a size 10, but has the footprint of a typical size 9. Shorter, lighter, and sleeker means that you will never have to suffer from toe drag again.
VELCRO® Brand Fastener J-Bar Interface - This interface is located in the heel pocket for added support.
Total Comfort Construction - An instantly broken-in feel right out of the box
Liner
Imprint™ 3 Liner
Heat Moldable - Whether you have funky cankles or a grotesque sixth toe, your feet will be wrapped with comfort in this boot. Ride them right out of the box or shape them to your foot with Burton's EMU heat-molding system, found at your local shop.
Rad Pad - This cushioning is located on the top of your instep, right where the liner laces exert the most pressure. These pre-curved panels keep your feet stoked and secure.
Inner Lace Lock - Quick-lock design keeps your heels locked down all day. Exit's a cinch with the one-handed release tab.
Sock Lock - This directional fiber lining allows your feet to easily slide into place and stay in place all day.
VELCRO® Brand Fastener Liner Closure - This secures the liner in place around your foot. J-Bar adjustable heel system slides into the heel pocket for added support.
Lacing System
Speed Zone™ Lacing - this lacing system offers lightning fast lacing control. Customize the fit of the upper or lower zone in seconds, and because the system is so powerful, you get more rebound, more wrap, and better response with less effort. Virtually indestructible, New England Ropes' laces are the same stuff used by stunt men, firefighters, and rescue teams. This system also comes with Burton's new Winder Handles.
Footbed
Level 2 Molded EVA Footbed with ESS Support Shank
Aegis™ Antimicrobial Coating - Inhibits foul odors
Sole
DynoLite EST™ Optimized Outsole - Superior cushioning, improved board feel, and consistent support in a 20% lighter weight construction. Made entirely of an exclusive cushioning compound specially formulated to withstand repeated impacts and freezing temps for long lasting shock absorption.
B3 Gel - This gel is placed in the heel and toe for ultimate dampening formulated to withstand repeated impacts without breaking down.
Additional Features
Snow-Proof Internal Gusset - Features internal gusset construction to completely seal the lower zone of the boot, keeping feet warm and dry

Comments about Burton Ambush Snowboard Boots 2013:

If you have arched feet, this might not be your best bet because it is tight above the foot and cuts the circulation. I took the insole out and it feels better, but I am not sure about the long term effects of that.

Comments about Burton Ambush Snowboard Boots 2013:

The boots felt great from the first time I put them on and only got better. They are insanely lite and have a smaller outer profile than other boots of the same size. The lacing system didn't loosen throughout the day like other similar systems. They do run a little small so take that into consideration when you buy.

Comments about Burton Ambush Snowboard Boots 2013:

I am a beginner boarder but have used a few pairs. These seem to be pretty light and work well. Construction of laces seems pretty light and could break over time.shoe is glued together, but which ones aren't these days.
