Mini Flite Base with Dupont™ Zytel® ST – Super lightweight, freestyle-oriented design for grom rippers worldwide.
Dupont™ Zytel® ST – The highest-quality nylon is used on all Union baseplates to result in strength, safety and security.
EVA Bushings – Dampen landings and reduce weight for a comfortable and lightweight binding.
Highback
Fusion Highback – Forgiving lateral flex in any temperature.
Shift-on-the-Fly Forward Lean – Quick and easy to use, adjust the forward lean with a simple flip of a knob then slide it to wherever you want and re-lock it. Easily done while waiting in those pesky lift lines.
Straps
Direct-Connect Strap System – Simply and directly connect your straps for a simple and quick strap that won't come undone.
Injected Aluminum Buckles – Fast in, and fast out. Union aluminum is second-to-none.
All-New Toe Buckle System with Push-Pin – Easy to adjust, this toe buckle system offers premium hold and customization.
Additional Features
Extruded Anodized Aluminum Heelcups – The strongest and most versatile aluminum heelcup on the market, extruded aluminum comes out 100% pure and maintains its true shape no matter how much wear and tear you inflict. Also, every Union heelcup undergoes an anodizing process—reinforcing the already bombproof apparatus with 30% more strength.
Universal Disks – Compatible with any traditional 4x4 mounting system and 3-hole board patterns. Channel Compatible Discs are available separately from Union to fit Burton snowboards with The Channel.
Grade 8.8 Hardware – The most commonly used hardware is made from "mild steel" that has a property class of only 4.6. Considering how much stress a binding goes through, Union uses only the highest-strength steel, with a property class of 8.8.

Beginner-Intermediate Whether you’re new to the sport or working on linking smooth turns, you fall into this ability level. Typical beginner skis and snowboards are usually built with softer materials, narrower widths, and feature cap construction for an easy to turn, forgiving ride. Beginner-intermediate boots and bindings are also built for ease of use and progression, featuring softer flexes and in the case of ski bindings, quick and safe release from the ski in case of a fall.

Soft The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
