Baseplate
Duraflex™ CB Baseplate – Duraflex™ CNC machined carbon injected baseplate features unsurpassed levels of strength and longevity for high-performance response, comfortable dampening and a true board flex no matter what.
Vaporlite Bushings – This water resistant, durable material maintains it's superior dampening characteristics in cold temperatures, providing a cushioned ride that can't be matched.
Highback
Forged Carbon Highback – Extraordinarily lightweight construction that's unmatched in strength and durability. Union's Forged Carbon Highback delivers peak performance with heelside response and control.
Straps
Genuine Leather Straps – Full grain leather ankle straps are highly durable and provide long lasting comfort. 3D Direct-Connect core evenly distributes pressure.
Ultra Grip™ Toe Straps – Multiple position options. Made of a thermoplastic anti-slip material to keep you locked in and on point.
Buckles
Magnesium Buckles – This high-tech process produces a material four-times the strength of aluminum with only half the weight. Plus, magnesium is easily recycled and remains the eighth most abundant material on the planet.
Additional Features
Universal Disks – Compatible with any traditional 4x4 mounting system and 3-hole board patterns. Channel Compatible Discs are available separately from Union to fit Burton snowboards with The Channel.
Forged Carbon Heelcup – Forged Heelcups deliver the ultimate heel-to-toe response and transfer of energy.
Grade 8.8 Hardware – The most commonly used hardware is made from "mild steel" that has a property class of only 4.6. Considering how much stress a binding is under, Union uses only the strongest steel on ALL hardware.

Advanced-Expert Whether you charge the steepest lines, hit the biggest jumps in the park or carve with race-like precision, advanced to expert level skis, snowboards, boots and bindings are for the more aggressive rider. In skis and snowboards, you'll often find layers of metal, carbon or other stringers for rigidity and power, while advanced to expert level boots and bindings are usually on the stiffer side of the spectrum for rebound and precision steering.

Stiff The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
