Union Charger Snowboard Bindings 2013

Charge hard with the most legendary binding on the making, the Union Charger Snowboard Bindings. With the carbon injected Stage III Atlas baseplates, full carbon fiber highbacks, and CNC machined heelcups, these bindings are as featherweight and as strong as it gets. Built to embrace your board's true flex, they're designed to bend with your board and provide supreme strength with minimal binding-to-board contact points. Injected EVA bushings for dampening and comfort, plus dual density toe ramp padding, there is no question you'll be killing it softly with these bindings.
Baseplate
Stage III Atlas Base - This carbon injected base is made of Dupont™ Zytel® ST and is guaranteed against breakage with a lifetime warranty.
Dupont™ Zytel® ST - The highest-quality nylon, used on all Union baseplates, results in strength, safety, security and the confidence of a lifetime warranty.
Injected EVA Bushings - They dampen vibrations underfoot to promote a more comfortable ride and a smooth, even, board flex with no dead spots. Each size comes with its own durometer for custom performance.

New Magnesium Buckles and Aluminum Cage - The magnesium in the buckles is four times the strength of aluminum with only half the weight. Plus, it is easily recycled.

Grade 8.8 Hardware - The most commonly used hardware is made from "mild steel" that has a property class of only 4.6. Considering how much stress a binding goes through, Union uses only the highest-strength steel, with a property class of 8.8.
CNC Machined Heelcups - The CNC process removes material to reduce overall weight while maintaining strength.

i have been riding union force bindings for a long time and really like what they have done over the years. The Charger was everything I want in a binding. Flex under foot with the plastic tray but super responsive edge to edge. The carbon high back is a nice touch for the guys like me that rely on there high backs to shut it down fast. My only complaint on this binding is how tight my size 9 32 boot fits in the medium/large tray... but tighter is better with bindings.

Very nice set of bindings. These things have a serious highback that is stiff and responsive. The ankle straps are top notch. My only gripe with these (and all Unions) are their lack of a release tab on the toe strap. They work OK regardless, but sometimes take a little fiddling to get them to release. They are fully adjustable, look good without being cheesy. These are a high end binder, but these things are tanks. Recommended for the hard charger who wants a stiff light set of binders.

    Good overall binding. Light, stiff, and comfortable. The toe strap releases a bit harder than my other bindings. I bought L/XL bindings, have size 11 burton boots, and have adjusted them as small as they can go. Maybe M/L would fit better.

    This is unions stiffest binding and also its most responsive. I had it pair with a Capita TFA and it was such a great ride. The Ladders were efficient and the starps were soft like marshmallows. The carbon highback was very light and very stiff. This binding will handle the biggest of big-mountain lines I'm certain. But it was also fun cruising in spring time slush. I will most likely be buying a pair of these next season. Charge on!
