Back again with some all-new features, the Union Atlas Snowboard Bindings are badder than ever. With an ultra durable Dupont™ Zytel® ST baseplate made from the highest quality nylon you can count on season-long strength - and the lifetime warranty baseplates aren't too bad either. Shift-on-the-Fly Forward Lean and Symmetrical highbacks make this binding so customizable you might not know what to do, but just calm down and take in all the awesomeness. Every part of this binding is put together to make one bad, rugged, stylish and responsive binding that you can bring anywhere you want to without failure.
Baseplate
Stage III Atlas Base - This base is made of Dupont™ Zytel® ST and is guaranteed against breakage with a lifetime warranty
Dupont™ Zytel® ST - The highest-quality nylon, used on all Union baseplates, results in strength, safety, security and the confidence of a lifetime warranty.
Dual Density EVA Bushings - They dampen vibrations underfoot to promote a more comfortable ride and a smooth, even board flex with no dead sports. Each size comes with its own durometer for custom performance.
Straps
All-New 3D Direct-Connect Strap System - Multi-Layer Tapered Strap Core evenly distributes pressure.
Multi-Layered Tapered Strap Core
Magnesium Buckles - The magnesium in the buckles is four times the strength of aluminum with only half the weight. Plus, it is easily recycled.

All-New Toe Buckle System - Multi-positional options with open Ultra Grip™ Design
All-New Toe Cup Design - Holds better to your boots for consistent control and also moves vertically for multiple boot-to-strap positions.
Highback
Symmetrical Atlas Highbacks - Symmetrical, yet tapered towards the top, providing flex and tweakability where you want it and support and durability where you need it, these are extremely comfortable, lightweight and responsive with no highback bite.

Shift-on-the-Fly Forward Lean - Quick and easy to use, adjust your forward lean with a simple flip of a knob then slide it to wherever you want and re-lock it. Easily done while waiting in those pesky lift lines.
Additional Features
All-New Extruded 3D Aluminum Heelcups - This process removes material to reduce weight but maintains strength.

Universal Disks - Compatible with any traditional 4x4 mounting system and 3-hole board patterns. Channel Compatible Disc is available separately from Union to fit Burton snowboards with The Channel.
Grade 8.8 Hardware - The most commonly used hardware is made from "mild steel" that has a property class of only 4.6. Considering how much stress a binding goes through, Union uses only the highest-strength steel, with a property class of 8.8.

Specs

  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
  • Binding Style: Strap
  • Warranty: Limited Lifetime
