Rossignol XV Snowboard Bindings 2014

If charging hard on big-mountain terrain is your thing, then check out the new Rossignol XV Snowboard Bindings. Backed by big-mountain speed freak Xavier de le Rue, the XV Bindings offer a very stiff flex for precision and control, while the MagneBed S3R Footbeds provide ample dampening when pointing it straight through the chop. Check out "This is My Winter" for further convincing of Xavier's 2014 Rossignol XV Snowboard Binding.
Flex
Very Stiff - When slaying big-mountain terrian, "almost" isn't an option and commitment is key. A stiff flex provides constant feedback for more precision and board feel.
Baseplate
HCX-33 Baseplate
MagneBed S3R Footbeds - There's never enough cushion on bindings. So Rossignol swapped out EVA for Gel Pads under each of the foot's 3-receptor points to maximized shock absorption, remove vibration and minimize fatigue.
3.0˚ Canted Footbeds - This 3.0˚ inward tilt naturally returns your feet and legs to their original alignment, relieving the stress of a wider stance and increasing the nose and tail pressure for ollies and butters.
Straps
40 oz. Fitted Strap - New high-density foam on the upper and lower sections of the strap provide increased energy transfer. Lower density foam in the middle section of the strap provides additional flex and instep relief. All of which is wrapped around a 3D molded spine for a comfortable, custom fit.
AsymLight Buckles - Asymmetrical diecast aluminum construction for durability and lightness with freewheel ratchets for quick entry and easy exit
Highback
3D AsymWrap Highback - Rossignol's asymmetrical highback shape mirrors their canted footbeds to deliver enhanced fit and comfort no matter your stance angle or width. 3D AsymWrap Highbacks wrap around your boot both laterally and vertically, delivering consistent boot and binding contact for instant power transmission and stability.
Additional Features
Extruded Heelcup Tech (E.H.T.) - 50% more response, 20% lighter. Micro-adjustments provide freedom of movement and infinite sizing and centering options.
Angled Ramps - Angled toe ramps expand the boot's contact surface area and opens the door to new board feel.
Heel Grip - A rubber inlay is diecut into the bottom of the highback's EVA pad to prevent boot heel shifting, ensuring perfect heelcup fit for immediate response.

Specs

  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Flex Rating: Very Stiff
    Very Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
