K2 Cinch CTX Snowboard Bindings 2013: Ushered into a class all its own, the K2 Cinch CTX Snowboard Bindings combine top-end K2 binding tech with the patented Cinch™ System. Flip down the highback, step in, and you’ll be on your way before your friends. Harshmellow™ cushioning and canted footbeds for more of a natural stance while reducing rider fatigue with vibration isolation. This decision won’t be hard, it’s a cinch.
Baseplate
Cinch C2 chassis is equipped with Nylon and a responsive Aluminum heelcup, lightweight cored side rails, and tool-less power ramp.
Multi-compatible and Offset discs feature a two slot design and mounts on 4-hole and 3-hole patterns. The offset slots allow for toe-heel centering by rotating it 180 degrees.
Canted Harshmellow™: footbed vibration dampening properties are placed in the heel and toe to absorb chatter and suck up sudden impact from flat landings and rough terrain.
Straps
Thin Cored Caddi ankle straps are ultra-thin, with lightweight construction for high performance comfort from PU laminates.
NEW Tool-Less Universal Toe Straps are cored for a lightweight and secure fit over or on top of your boot. Tool-less cam-lock adjustment.
NEW Cam-Lock Centering is tool-less and secure adjustment allows you to precisely center your straps with ease and speed.
Highback
Cinch Airlock highbacks eliminates the need for traditional forward lean components, creating the lightest high-performance highbacks ever made. The center spine provides heel-side response and forgiving side-to-side flex.
Additional Features
NEW Hella RADchet’s are composite levers that are larger for easy out.

Comments about K2 Cinch CTX Snowboard Bindings 2013:

These are great bindings, super easy to get in and out with the double action of the high back and the straps. The plastic strap to disengage the binding is really nice, as is being able to adjust the straps from either side.

Minor complaints: The heel cup is a bit too wide for my boot, so my heel gets a pressure point that was alleviated to some degree by increasing the high back angle, but I probably should have gone a size down on the bindings. Also, the actual levers for tightening the straps don't always catch or release, they're a little tough to use. Finally, I thought these would be constructed of metal from their appearance, but they're made of plastic; they still seem sturdy enough after ~15 days riding them, but time will tell.

Better than my old Flow Trilogy '11s: My old Flow bindings were a great intro to the back-entry binding, but they tore off the back sole of my boot from catching on the high back, and they broke after a year or so of riding, losing the cable guide metal bit and the plastic clasp breaking (Flows, not K2s!). Flow has also been bad about my warranty claim, no idea about K2.
