Comments about K2 Cinch CTS Snowboard Bindings 2015:

I was a little hesitant to order these bindings as I read some bad reviews. I was very pleasantly surprised after getting them and using them though. They are a little on the heavy side, but I'm not really concerned with that as I'm not a pro. Whatever little weight it adds I wouldn't notice.

I had heard some complaints about them being hard to get in, but I had no problem at all. When the high-back is pushed back I could easily slide my foot in. Then it was so easy to just pull them up and snap them in place. It does take a little effort but that is good so you know they won't just fly off when you're riding down the mountain. I could pretty much get into the bindings from any position on the mountain.

I previously had the K2 Auto Bindings, but these make strapping in even easier. I'm so happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend this to anyone that wants to strap in and go!

Comments about K2 Cinch CTS Snowboard Bindings 2015:

Love these bindings! I can't believe that everybody doesn't have a pair. I'm off the lift and gone while all the other boarders are sittin' on their butt playing with straps and buckles.

Tale of two bindings

Comments about K2 Cinch CTS Snowboard Bindings 2015:

What can I say about these bindings that has not been said already. One thing the other review failed to mention, is that if you wear a size 10 to 11 boot, go with the XL binding size. The large accommodate boots size's 8 to11, if you are on either side or in my case the ladder end of this scale you may find the fit to be too tight.

Also, the lever to engage the high back can take some effort. If you go with these bindings, be sure to get everything fitted in the comfort of the couch chairlift, cause God help you if you want to have a tight fit and some snow get's in-between the boot and binding and the fit is off, which makes the high back engagement next to impossible.

Overall, these are great bindings for the price! As mentioned it may take some practice to get used to the design.

Comments about K2 Cinch CTS Snowboard Bindings 2015:

These bindings were a huge upgrade for me personally. However, my last setup was a bargain, purchased in 2008 or so.
Wasn't sure what to expect from the rear entry system, opposed to the standard straps but I think I'm totally sold on this new technology for resort riding. The best feature is probably how much quicker getting the back foot in or out of the binding is. If your straps are setup then you can just slide/kick your foot into the binding, and then pull the lever thingy up and you're good to go. But that didn't happen right away.
These bindings take some getting used to. I adjusted mine a thousand times on my first few days trying to create a comfortable and supportive fit. It took me almost half a season to find the perfect fit for me. But I'm picky about these things.
The other main thing about the rear entry is that it makes it much easier to transition while standing up, and nearly impossible to while seated. Well that's not totally true. You can totally transition on the ground, but you have to be on your toeside/knees, and not your butt. I transition standing up or leaning forward on something now. That way you can reach behind your legs and unlock/lock the binding more easily. If you don't like sitting down and then standing up all the time these might be good for you. But then again, if you don't like sitting down and then standing up all the time I wouldn't recommend snowboarding.
Now that I've rode these for about 3 months nearly everyday I really like them. They're light, strong, and most of all very fast to transition (compared to my last bindings). I'd recommend them if they appeal to you. If you like the more standard system, that's cool too. But I'm probably going to be waiting a couple seconds for you to finish strapping in.

Comments about K2 Cinch CTS Snowboard Bindings 2015:

The K2 Cinch binding was great for teaching beginning riders because I could pull my boot out quickly to help them, especially if they fell uphill. Lock and loading on a lift is an anvantage on a pow morning, which allows me to begin my 3300 vertical nonstop run w/o sitting and losing valuable seconds on our Baldy mountain in Sun Valley, Idaho. After forty six, and counting, winters and some serious pounding, my bod needs all the help I can get.

Comments about K2 Cinch CTS Snowboard Bindings 2015:

I live in the Midwest and have learned how to enjoy whatever slope is steep enough for Gravity to pull you down it. There is always a chance for fun on a snowboard. If you are a super "niche" snowboarding, looking for optimum performance in a single area, these are not for you. If you enjoy most of the mountain (park included), know how to make your own fun, and want a comfortable and easy-in-out set up, doesn't get much better than these.

Comments about K2 Cinch CTS Snowboard Bindings 2015:

Wow these things are beautiful. I will upload pictures, because the color of the blue ones are much nicer in different light. And still better in person.

I haven't ridden them yet, Hopefully I will soon! But everything get's REALLY tight (it cinches!) and the highbacks are easy to snap up, snap down, and don't feel like they will pop a part on the hill. It seems that the boots will come out of these pretty nicely too (that cinching makes all the difference).
