Flow NXT-AT Snowboard Binding 2012: A team favorite, the NXT-AT Snowboard Binding is Flow’s most versatile and performance-oriented all-mountain binding. The NXT-AT is prepped for everything from Mammoth’s Main Park to Baker’s backcountry. The stiff flex means total control over your board, while the I-Flex PowerStrap with deep side cutouts provides the perfect flex for any freestyle expression. The forged aluminum alloy and fiber-reinforced components make the NXT series the most structurally sound and powerful bindings on the market.
Baseplates
Rockered forged aluminum baseplate, unique to Flow, is lightweight and provides a sharper response by letting the board flex naturally.
EVA Basepads and moveable landing pads ensure the perfect fit and a chatter-free ride.
Combi-disk has both 4X4 and 3HP hole patterns for both stance width and toe-heel offset adjustability.
Channel-M6 disks are also available for all current Flow models.
Straps
Flow’s I-Fex PowerStrap has a 3D molded core and an internal multiple-panel frame for precise form-fitting to any type for a direct boot-to-binding-to-board feel.
Four Airframe MINIratchets provide micro adjustments to the corners of the PowerStrap eliminating pressure points and providing better blood flow to keep your feet warmer.
Highbacks
Featuring Flow’s Original Reclining Hiback; the hiback drops down so you don’t have to drop your butt onto the snow.
The hiback is made of15% fiber-reinforced DuPont Zytel for response and precision at high speeds yet flexible enough for tweaked out grabs and longer presses.
Kush-Control EVA-pad gives extra pressure to the lateral edge for more response.
Free+ Snaplock allows for too-less forward-lean adjustments without having to get out of your bindings.
Additional Features
Flow’s patented Powertriangle links the hiback directly to the center of the baseplate with a high-tension steel cable, creating a structurally powerful and responsive link between the hiback and baseplate, meaning faster turns with less effort and no wasted energy.
Synchronous Length Adjustment (SLA) allows you to adjust the hiback centering and rotation to your preference while maintaining the ideal PowerTriangle geometry. Flex Rating 4.5 (1 soft – 5 stiff).

I've been riding for almost 20 years and these are the best bindings I have ever had. The first time you slide off the lift. bend down and lock in ready to go, while your friends are still looking for a place to go butt down in the snow to strap in, you'll be sold! That's just the beginning of the fun... the connection these bindings give you to the board is amazing, you will be pleased with the performance they provide.

I did read in some review that they were difficult to get set up... I disagree. Watch the set up video on line, follow the instructions, then play with them a few times to dial them in and you're set. One tip I'll offer is that you don't need to crank down the toe straps. With other bindings I always felt that I had to get the toe straps tight or the response would be sloppy. With these you need them to be loose enough to slip your foot most of the way in, and when you latch the back it will nudge your boot in the rest of the way and snug every thing down just right. Over time, I have progressively loosened my toe straps even more, without any loss of control.

I can't imagine riding with any other bindings. Enjoy!

Flows 4.5 out of 5 stiffness rating is garbage.. that is if you want to utilize there step in technology. When you strap in as tight as can be there is no way to kick your boot into these. You are stuck undoing all 4 rachet straps that you worked so hard to hone in the night before. And "as tight as can be" is not that tight. I only used for a week so far. The leather and stitching has already begun to rip! I don't recommend these unless you don't know what the Helll your doing or are using them on a fun little noodleboard for the park. If your board has ANY kind of stiffness to it, stay away from all flow products as per maneuverability and safety become an issue at high speeds, so my opinion is to stay off the steeps with these pieces of junk unless flow has agreed to pay your medical bills. I bought these because I developed a horrible bone spur on my foot this season, the bit of extra comfort they provide is no excuse for there lack of functionality. I've been riding for ten years I'm no s. White but I no what I want and need when I'm on the hill and anything flow has to offer won't cut it. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Comments about Flow NXT-AT Snowboard Bindings 2012:

I was an early adopter of Flow bindings. After many years those bindings started to show their age, so I went shopping for new bindings. I made the mistake of reading forums where many people will attest to the fact that strap in bindings give you better control/feel/etc. I ended up with a set of Ride SPI bindings. They were good, but I really missed the Flows. Every time I sat down to strap in, I wondered why I abandoned Flow bindings. The Ride's felt no different as far as control, but I was wasting energy and time with strapping in.

This season I had enough: I bought a pair of NXT's and boy am I glad I did. I really like a stiff binding, since I mostly Freeride. THe NXT's are perfect for that. I've never felt more control of my board. I first thought I was getting a lot of heel lift, but realized that I was SO glued onto my board that little lifts of my leg was tweaking my board! This allows for really quick turns.

I word to new users: setting up Flows takes some learning/adjusting. You should spend ~30 minutes in your living room with your boots on, trying to get the settings right. Then once you hit the slopes, you'll then probably need 2-3 more runs of micro adjustments (once your boot gets wet, it will fit a little different). Forunately the ratchets on the top strap make this much easier than the old bindings. I think it's this initial time period that people get frustrated with Flows. Too often people have the top strap too tight. However, once you've figured out your settings, it's great. I get off the lift, slip my rear foot in and then up goes the highback. I never have to sit down. I probably get 2-3 more runs in each day thanks to the time I save.

Comments about Flow NXT-AT Snowboard Bindings 2012:

Imagine never having to sit down to adjust your bindings and being "that guy" holding up the rest of the group from hitting the run. If you have friends who ski you know exactly what I'm talking about. Further, these particular bindings are made of the best quality material. It's especially nice to have the aluminum baseplate when the conditions get colder and plastics become more brittle. But all-in-all, convenience is what makes these bindings great. The first time you use them you have to spend a little extra time getting just the proper fit, but after that you'll be sliding your foot in immediately after you depart the lift. Until something better comes out (and I don't see that happening for awhile), Flow will be my go-to bindings. I've already convinced three other people to buy Flows.

Save time getting off the lift and kick, lock and drop. Fully adjustable straps, highback and base plate for toe and heel support. Very stiff plates make it very responsive and durable but adds weight to the board. Overall a very quality well designed product from Flow.

Comments about Flow NXT-AT Snowboard Bindings 2012:

This is the first quick-entry binding system I've ever owned/tried. The first day on the mountain was rough, it took a lot of adjusting to get that right feel on the mountain. Once they got dialed in though, it was quick and easy to get in and out of. I found these bindings to be a little less responsive than my strap-in bindings, however after adjusting and tinkering with the settings the performance was not that big of an issue.

All in all, these seem like great bindings. They do take longer to set up, but once you've got them set up perfectly to your boots, they're very comfortable and easy.

Comments about Flow NXT-AT Snowboard Bindings 2012:

I expected these bindings to be easy to get into and fast (which they are) but I didn't expect them to be more responsive AND more comfortable than my stiffest-in-the-womens-line Burton bindings. These bindings are really responsive and great for getting lots of turns in early on pow days. The aluminum baseplate makes them a bit too heavy for the park, but they fit snugly without smashing toes. It's a worthwhile tradeoff.

I should also mention that I'm a small woman with little feet (size 7). I had no problem whatsoever with getting a good fit with either my boots or narrow board. These bindings do shift my stance back about 1/2", which resulted in a few dramatic heelside washouts before I realized what was going on.
