Flow NX2-GT Snowboard Bindings 2013

The Swiss-army knife of snowboard bindings, the Flow NX2-GT gives you the ability to slay any terrain. With the Hybrid PowerCapStrap and N.A.S.T.Y. Strap technology you'll be able to keep your board lightweight but still have the ability to hit all terrain. Extra OC-Kush dampening in the baseplate helps cushion tough landings. To take on the entire mountain and master every aspect of snowboarding, you'll need the Flow NX2-GT Snowboard Bindings.
Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 5 Stiff) - 4.5, effortless response and board control
Baseplate
BankBeds - Full length EVA footbeds with a 2.5˚ canting and adjustable toe-ramp to optimize fit, support and energy transfer
OC-Kush - Pop-through cushioning dampens landings, absorbs chatter and fits perfectly to the rockered baseplate shape for efficient energy transfer.
Rockered Baseplate - Engineered to transfer your power directly to the board without losing response time by minimizing contact area with the board - this also allows your board to have maximum flex
Straps
N.A.S.T.Y. Strap - New Active Strap Technology automatically lifts up when you open the reclining hiback and actively tightens again when you close the hiback. This reduces tension and creates more room when getting in and out of the binding.
Hybrid PowerCapStrap - This revolutionary hybrid between the Flow SpeedEntry and 2-strap SideEntry merges the best of both worlds. A 3D-shaped anklestrap diagonally covers the mid-foot for pressure distribution and energy transfer to the toe side through the 3-point VeeToe mounting. A toe cap delivers perfect boot positioning for control.
LSR-Buckles - LockingSlapRatchet-buckles give you the ability to make on-the-fly adjustments with the large ratchet-levers and enable you to easily go in and out in seconds.
Evo.7 SupportPanel - 4-Way adjustable and ultra-responsive due to it's Urethane - 7 blend construction
Highback
KushControl - EVA wrapped hiback pads for superior comfort
ModBack Hiback - Using a reliable aluminum alloy heelcup and separating the lower/upper zones that use independently adjustable SupportPanels to deliver a fine tuned performance

i have been using flow bindings since quite possibly before you were born.

these are the best yet for keeping you firmly attached to your board.
heel slip for me was virtually eliminated in these. it was a problem in my 2009 Flow Team bindings and the four other pairs i've used in the past.

my big issue is front toe strap on the back foot, the when you put your boot in the rubber sometimes folds over and is held folded over by you now inserted boot. doesn't affect the function but i feel it will wear it down the front strap eventually.

the other minor issue is quick release ratchet clips are convenient but sometimes release too easily, even when "locked".

although not a deal breaker, i would like the graphics on the flow bindings in general to be different/better. they are tired and dated. these are the best of the metal base bindings but still lime green tiger stripes? anyway...

overall the board feels more responsive given being securely connected to it, so i'm pleased. i do wish flow would revamp their graphic design.

the top strap onn these bindings are made of a weak mesh that tears very easily, this is the only bad side to this binding. The new conventional two strap keeps you much tighter in the binding as does Flows new Nasty active strap technology. if you are looking at this Binding i would direct you towards the NX2-SE. It is the same binding but does not have the mesh and will not tear like these. if the Mesh was stronger or just not there these would be great bindings

Comments about Flow NX2-GT Snowboard Bindings 2013:

The bindings take awhile to get adjusted properly but once you get them set, there is a lot of support. I was hoping to save time with "step in" bindings but I found it difficult to step in as the toe strap always falls too far down and I end up have to tighten the straps after getting in anyways. Although more cosmetic, the mesh on the ankle strap started ripping after just a few days of riding.

Overall, once strapped in I feel good on them and they are very comfortable from big mountain to park.

Comments about Flow NX2-GT Snowboard Bindings 2013:

The v strap for the toe and top of foot should be 2 separate straps the predetermined shape for the v causes the toe strap to be lower on the toe.
This also puts the strap lower to the snow when back foot is unstrapped. My foot hits the strap and releases it.

Comments about Flow NX2-GT Snowboard Bindings 2013:

Front toe strap rivet connection super loose after first day...other than that very solid construction. Very adjustable although "middle" strap on sz L not enough adjustment for supersnug fit on size 10 . Real comfortable cush ride for all mountain free riding. Love the canting . Would give 5star if FLOW shaved weight off...rear entry not necessary, only one or two scenarios where that option is helpful.

The adjustable high-back is great for boot acceess. once you set up your good to go, but in case of excess snow on under the boot they're still easy enough to manipulate.

Used these in Breck, Vale, & Brighton last season.
      Very happy investor

The toe strap on these bindings seems to be a bit lower than normal, but so far it does not seem to impact much. I am using these bindings with K2 Darko boots and after getting the high back adjusted, and small tweaks, they fit nicely and give great control.

These bindings with my 2013 Banana Magic are sick together. Feels like I'm riding on a mountain covered in marshmellows. Flexible yet stiff when adjusting the highback. Uber easy to get in and out of in a hurry. The colors are blended well together. The mesh is very durable. They took some adjusting to get used to the toe strap. The toe strap gave me extra control and the locked in feeling I was looking for. Overall Awesome Bindings.
