Flow Flite 2 Snowboard Bindings 2012: Break through to the next level without breaking the bank with Flow’s Flite 2 Snowboard Binding. Built around the same solid design and construction as the Flite 1, the Flite 2 tweaks the customization and comfort to even greater heights. DuPont POM molded baseplate and hiback engineered for support and response in all temperature conditions. The CI-Flex PowerStrap designed for all-mountain riding is supportive enough for charging top to bottom runs without suffocating personal style. The Flite 2 features a reclining hiback meaning more time on your feet riding and zero time on your butt strapping in.
Baseplates
The DuPont POM molded baseplate is designed for forgiveness and engineered for direct energy without loss of efficiency or the feel of your board.
Flow’s combi-disk allows for both 4X4 and 3HP hole patterns, plus both stance width and toe-heel offset adjustability—no more toe drag or heel hooks.
Channel-M6 disks are also available for all current Flow models.
Straps
There’s no strap out there like Flow’s 3D-Powerstrap. The Composite I-Flex step-in strap distributes pressure evenly over a wider surface area than traditional bindings meaning you won’t have to crank them down as tight, providing for better circulation and eliminating cold feet.
Two lateral Airframe MINIrachets and two Quickset buckles can be micro-adjusted at each corner to get rid of any pressure point.
Highbacks
Made of DuPont POM plastic, the Flite 2 has a medium flex for the perfect balance of support and response. Featuring Flow’s Original Reclining Hiback; the hiback drops down so you don’t have to drop your butt onto the snow.
The flat top allows ample lateral movement for that feel of freedom every rider wants, and the PowerTriangle cable transfers all energy from the hiback to your heel edge for powerful turns.
Additional Features
Flow’s patented Powertriangle links the hiback directly to the center of the baseplate with a high-tension steel cable, creating a structurally powerful and responsive link between the hiback and baseplate, meaning faster turns with less effort and no wasted energy.
EVA landing pads at the heels and toes provide all the cushioning and dampening needed to reduce fatiguing vibrations.
Flex Rating: 2 (1 soft – 5 hard).

I was initially excited about these bindings as they were described as being very simple to get in/get out of. This turned out to be very true, but it did take a long time to get the right adjustments on the toe and top of the boot to actually get it working correctly (which had to be done on the mountain as living rooms don't seem to provide the right environs for this). I also had to unscrew the back and move it back in order for it to snap properly.

Once I got it just right, though, it was like my whole entire day got brighter. I was able to go down the bunny slopes two or three times while my friends were still struggling with their bindings at the top.

Although there's a steep learning curve on the setup, I can't recommend these bindings enough.

Great construction, but it wasnt as simple as kick lock and drop. You have to own flow boots for the bindings to work well.

Comments about Flow Flite 2 Snowboard Bindings 2012:

I can really see the potential in these bindings. Unfortunately, I found that I need new boots. I have some 5150s that are too wide for the bindings so I wasn't able to just lock and load like my friends were able to do with other flow bindings. Had to jam my heel down into them once I got the back locked. There is a lot of adjust-ability with these bindings so the fix could be there.
Once in though, my feet felt comfortable and secure. Can't wait to really test them out next season.

Comments about Flow Flite 2 Snowboard Bindings 2012:

It's a amazing binding. It takes a little bit longer to set it up but once you got it you'll never need to mess with it agine. It cuts the time in half.i won't recommend it for beginners, it is a little bit loose when you ride but I don't mind. It is a great binding over all. Will worth the [$] . Don't listen to ppl when they say it's hard to git you foot in and out of the binding. They just didn't set it up correctly.

making the change was simple and easy to get used to the different riding style. Quicker to get in and out of binding that the strap style binding.
Improved my riding by more foot contact with board.

Comments about Flow Flite 2 Snowboard Bindings 2012:

Great bindings, extremely adjustable. I took these babies for a four day run in Jackson Hole Wyoming and couldn't be happier. I could keep up with my skier friends right off the lift because it took me less than 5 seconds to strap in. easy to install and it has four screws per binding, so I didn't even have to tighten them once. The only issue I found was that sometimes the design of the microtightening caused it to tighten on my foot when I did not want to and cut off my circulation which was extremely uncomfortable, but nothing a 2 minute reajustment couldn't fix. Overall it was a great value and I got exactly what I expected.
