Comments about Burton Malavita Snowboard Bindings 2013:

These bindings are sweet. In my quest to find the perfect binding this year u have purchased 3 including Flux RK30s, which were a tad too soft for me, Rome 390s, which is a great binding but with some downfalls. The Malavita is more of a freestyle focused binding, however, it is still quite responsive. Next to a Cartel from this year, the Malavita def had a stiffer highback, but still has great lateral flex when mounted on the board. Response is great, so if you are on the fence about these not being responsive enough, I hope this helps. I generally stay out of the park, but these bindings are good for buttering around the mountain and hitting side stashes even with a mid to mid stiff all mountain freestyle board like the SL and Angus. Comfy straps, even more so than the Flux and Rome bindings I have, which speaks volume to me since both of these bindings are rated very well for comfort. I also experienced the Malavitas to be a tad stiffer and quite a bit more responsive than the 390s.

Downsides are the ratchets, which are a little sticky. Additionally, the foot beds are prone to having ice and snow frozen to them. One other negative is the fact that I have toe straps just about maxed out although my boot is a 9.5 salomon savage. May be due to the fact that these boots do not have size reduction.

Overall, 5 out 5 in my book, and although this is a freestyle focused binding, it has the power to handle a mid to mid stiff all mountain freestyle board very well. For a soft park binding there are definitely better options out there.

Comments about Burton Malavita Snowboard Bindings 2013:

Stiff, charger bindings with great response. Super snug straps that can cinch a bit too much if you're not careful. The setup is highly versatile with several different base plates to match whatever board you ride. Foot pad can be hard to remove at times, but only a minor beef

These are hands down the best bindings I've ever ridden with. Lightweight, durable, comfortable and very responsive. I don't see myself riding anything else other than these for a long time

Great bindings, very comfortable and light. Quite responsive without being stiff. I purchased these bindings looking to cut down fatigue and chatter, these bindings have done both

Comments about Burton Malavita Snowboard Bindings 2013:

Although this binder packs in the tech, it still seems to lack the comfort offered by other brands. the buckles seem to pinch and the lack of any major canting makes it land on the bottom of my list.
