The Burton Genesis Snowboard Bindings were designed to be the most comfortable bindings out there. Taking inspiration from everyone's favorite summer nap spot, the hammock, Burton designed a binding that evenly distributes pressure to create a comfortable-yet-secure hold. Meaning, you won't fatigue with these bindings, they will keep you shredding all day long. Just because they are comfortable doesn't mean they aren't responsive; the Burton Genesis Bindings can keep up with all, even the most demanding and aggressive shredders.
Flex
Flex Rating: 6 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - Stiffer flex for all-mountain performance and mega-precise turns.
Baseplate
Single-Component - Extremely lightweight. 30% Short Glass / Nylon Composite creates a consistent response and feel for all-terrain domination.
Re:Flex - Dual-density EVA automatically settles your boot into a natural position regardless of the stance width or angles. This makes for a comfortable fit, that reduces fatigue and enhances board control. Added B3 Gel to the footbed provides ultimate vibration-reduction and cushioning in cold temps.

Straps
Gettagrip Capstrap™ - Super lightweight EVA, 3D® Curved triple axis spine with grippy rubber.
Hammockstrap™ with Flex Slider - Stitch-less construction for ultra-response with minimal materials. The addition of a nylon cross spine equates to a more direct connection with the board.
Buckles
Double Take Buckles with Insta-Click - Teeth on both sides of the engage Insta-Click. The retention is focused on the strip-proof backside teeth while front side teeth do the work. Fewer cranks to tighten your bindings means you're dropping in first.

Highback
Kickback Hammock - A lightweight suspension to the highback. Giving you increased response, reduced vibration, and pressure distribution.
MicroFLAD™ - Burton's tool-free forward lean adjustment system.
Zero-Lean Hi-Back - Riders who like a more relaxed and playful feel will appreciate the upright stance. Adjustable so you can dial in exactly the ride you want.
Additional Features
Features re-ground materials to reduce waste.
Compatible with 4x4 and The Channel

Specs

  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
  • Binding Style: Strap
  • Snowboard Awards: Snowboarder Magazine Best of Test
