You say "Yumi," we say "Yummy." The Völkl Yumi Skis are a delectable addition to any intermediate skier's gear collection, and handle equally well in all conditions from hard pack to bumps to 6" of fresh. When your day on the light and agile Yumi is done, you'll be amazed at how much energy you've saved and even more by how much fun you've had.
Alpine Tip Rocker Variable edge length in the shovel zone, rocker height is moderate. Makes it easier to turn the ski. The cambered area underneath the foot and at the tail provides control and support for novices and intermediates.
Multi Layer Woodcore Völkl freeskiing models feature a multi-layer wood core that features two different densities of wood. In the binding attachment area, a dense, ash core is used, while in the rest of the ski, the core is poplar. The more dense wood creates more secure screw retention, preventing binding pull-out, and the soft, supple poplar section allows for resilience and snap. The flex pattern is tailored to each ski model, depending on the desired performance.
Tough Box Construction Völkl protects the goods (in this case the Multi Layer wood core) with a composite and fiberglass sheath for resilience, durability and snap.
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
