Volkl Shiro Jr Skis - Youth 2013
Similar to the adult Shiro, the Volkl Shiro Jr Skis feature Extended Low Profile Rocker and a full wood core with vertical sidewall construction. It is designed for young skiers who want to ski big-mountain, powder conditions. As soon as your budding pro gets on the Shiro Jr’s, he’ll begin to crave that crystal.
Shape
Full Rocker imbues the ski with a smooth, gradual bend from tip to tail, with matching sidecut and flex. The Extended Low Profile (ELP) gives the skier all the benefits of added maneuverability in soft snow while also delivering smooth, graceful arcs on groomed terrain. By matching the flex and sidecut with the full rocker profile, the skier gains full, uninterrupted edge contact. The more you put the ski on edge, the more effective the edge becomes. The resulting smoothness and predictability is truly uncanny.
Construction
Multi Layer Wood
Power Construction is Volkl’s longest running construction. It utilizes traditional vertical sidewalls and a torsion box internal layup. Used in racing skis as well as freeskiing models, this versatile, proven construction provides tremendous grip and a smooth ride.
Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.
