Charging expert kids (and their parents) will have a hard time finding a better tool for all-mountain excellence than the Mantra Jr - Völkl scales back the weight by eliminating the twin sheets of Titanal, but the Full Sensor Woodcore and full sidewall construction is legit. If your kid is getting too good for a wimpy foam-cored kids' skis, step up to the Mantra Jr and watch the sparks fly.

Full Rocker – Völkl Full Rocker is a smooth, gradual bend from tip to tail, with matching sidecut and a symmetrical flex pattern. All the benefits of extra maneuverability in soft snow while delivering smooth, sexy arcs of groomed terrain. The matching flex and sidecut on the full rocker gives you full, uninterrupted edge contact. The more the ski is on edge the more effective that edge becomes, and the resulting smoothness and predictability is uncanny.

Full Sensor Woodcore – The full sensor construction features hard wood in the binding area but - contrary to the speedwall wood core - under the screws and in the outer areas a lighter wood. This results in a very sporty and agile skiing characteristics, especially suited for youngsters and freeriders.

Rocker Rocker (also called reverse-camber) is just as it sounds – camber turned upside down. Rocker skis have a side profile with a smooth downward curvature and a contact point at the middle of the ski. Rocker skis excel in deep powder. This profile provides the skis with less tip and tail hang up to prevent from catching edges and allows the skis to initiate turns extremely quickly. This profile doesn’t perform as well in icy conditions or on harder snow but if you spend lots of time in deep, untracked snow and like a more playful ski, Rocker is a great choice.
