Product Info

The Völkl Ledge Skis feature the same 112-85-112 shape as the Step, but with a softer flex they're suitable for less advanced or lighter park riders. The same bomber Völkl Tough Box construction graces the Ledge, so don't worry about how these skis will hold up or perform.

Product Details

Rocker Type

Freeski Tip and Tail RockerMakes the ski turn-friendly and allows for a stiffer flex setup. Only the shovel and tail zones bend upwards, with traditional cambering in the middle.

Shape

Symmetrical ShapeFully symmetrical sidecut allows regular and switch riding with equal ease.

Core

Multi Layer WoodcoreVölkl freeskiing models feature a multi-layer wood core that features two different densities of wood. In the binding attachment area, a dense, ash core is used, while in the rest of the ski, the core is poplar. The more dense wood creates more secure screw retention, preventing binding pull-out, and the soft, supple poplar section allows for resilience and snap. The flex pattern is tailored to each ski model, depending on the desired performance.

Laminates

Tough Box ConstructionVölkl protects the goods (in this case the Multi Layer wood core) with a composite and fiberglass sheath for resilience, durability and snap.

Sidewalls

Vertical Sidewalls

Binding Compatibility

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

These Skis, have been a blessing since I bought them. They are not only great cruisers down regular runs, they dominate in the park like no other, they're very responsive and have amazing pop! Overall great skis!

Comments about Volkl Ledge Skis 2016:

Getting chipped and dinged pretty quickly due to the top layer of the skis. I have only used them three times. Not extremely happy with my purchase.

Comments about Volkl Ledge Skis 2016:

I have own 2 pairs of these over the last two seasons and they are absolutely a blast to ski on! They are very snappy and responsive, and skiing switch requires barley any effort due to the symmetrical shape. The skis are ruined by the poor construction though. My first pair (2015 model) started to delaminate at the end of the season. I sent them to Volkl, who replaced them with the new 2016 pair. Now after only 8-9 days (1-2 being hard all day park days) the base is starting to peel off the ski. The top sheet also loses chunks off of it by the hour! This is alarming since I spend most of my time filming during the day. While the skis are great to ski on, the durability just has not held up for the past two seasons.
