While you may not be skiing in Alaska under the Aurora Borealis, you can capture the feeling with the Volkl Aura Skis. The Tip Rocker allows you to float on top of the snow with very little energy. The Sensorwood Light core is lightweight while the vertical sidewalls and Torsion Box give you grip, stability, and a smooth ride. Even at your local hill, you’ll still feel like a goddess on the powder.
Shape
Tip Rocker features an early-rise tip design and classic camber profile to give you easy, smooth turn entry regardless of conditions. In softer snow the ski is incredibly forgiving, floats better, and requires less energy to ride.
Construction
Sensorwood Light is CNC milled using vertically laminated Poplar and Beech wood.
Power Construction Powered by Titanium is Volkl’s longest-running construction that utilizes traditional vertical sidewalls and a torsion box internal layup. This construction provides tremendous grip, stability, and a smooth ride.
Binding Compatibility
Bindings not included. We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15mm wider.

I had originally gone to the Vokl tent to ask for a Vokl Kiku, but they did not have one available in my size, so I decided to ski on the Aura for the first time. I was so generally excited about and surprised by this skis' groomer performance! It was arguably the most stable ski I demoed all weekend! A very stiff and relatively narrow women's ski, the Aura has some slight tip rocker that keeps the tip from hooking when the ski is really laid on its edge. This ski is perfect for a woman who skis on the groomed about 70-80% of the time and loves to go reeeeal fast!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
