Volkl Alley Skis 2012: The Volkl Alley Skis are for the young skier who wants a rock solid ride that can help him conquer the park and ski all over the mountain. They feature a shape of 111-81-104, a Sensorwood core, and Völkl's Toughbox with extra fiberglass in the mid-body for added strength.
Shape
Full Camber is for skiers who still enjoy the feel of traditional camber. While not as silky-smooth as a rockered ski, full camber provides stability and acceleration for skiers wanting a more classic ride quality.
Construction
Tough Box construction features a Multi-Layer wood core wrapped with a Composite/Fiberglass sheath to create the ultimate resilience and snap for freeskiing models. Surrounding the core in the mid-body of the ski, it adds snap, strength and binding screw retention.
Flex
Multi-Layer Wood Core has two different densities of wood. In the binding attachment area, a dense, Ash core is used, while in the rest of the ski, the core is Poplar. The more dense wood creates secure screw retention and stability, while the softer poplar section allows for resilience and snap. The flex pattern can be tailored to each ski model to match the desired performance characteristics.
Sensorwood Core is CNC milled using vertically laminated wood.
Dimensions
13.9m @ 148cm, 16.3m @ 158cm, 18.9m @ 168cm, 21.8cm @ 178cm, 111/81/104 (all sizes)
Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15mm wider.

Comments about Volkl Alley Skis 2012:

These are horrible skis. The edges fall off and split within the first week of use. The top sheet pretty much just peels off. Don't ever waste your money on these pieces of junk!
