Surface Drifter Skis 2012: Blake Nyman has been at Surface from the get go and has experienced all aspects of the company from day 1. He’s worked his way up through the ranks and is now a member of the much respected Nimbus Independent crew. Blake can be found skiing tricky lines around Utah one weekend and hitting nasty Mt. Hood Step downs on Monday morning. And his weapon of choice? The Surface Drifer Skis. Lightweight, yet wide enough for pow days, the Drifter is a great all-around ski. Early Rise rocker not only helps the ski float in the soft stuff but reduces tip/tail snag when spinning off kickers.

Shape

Early Rise Hybrid technology makes for an extremely smooth turn initiation and exit, along with keeping the tip of those boards on top of the deepest snow. The Hybrid Camber underfoot allows for that edge hold when snow tends to firm up or when terrain gets steeper and you need that extra bite.

Comments about Surface Drifter Skis 2012:

Dust on crust day did a few runs on the hard pack in the morning and the tail washed out on turns and the edge didn't hold too well, so not recommended as an all mountain ski but the narrow tail allowed these skis to be maneuverable in the trees. Good for pow and tree skiing.
