Scott Dozer Skis 2013

If you need a ski to add to your arsenal that is perfect for the entire mountain then look no further then the Scott Dozer Skis. It's unique shape gives you the ability to plow through pow and slash quick turns on the most compacted snow you've ever ridden. The Twin-Tip rocker profile gives you the best of both backcountry and freestyle rocker technology. Don't limit yourself to just one aspect of the mountain and equip yourself with the Scott Dozer.
Rocker Type
Twin-Tip Rocker (S) - Rocker placed on both the tip (300 mm) and tail (200 mm) of the skis allows for maximum float when riding both forward and switch. The tail rocker also increases powder handling by increasing the amount of ski that digs into the snow which bring the tip of the ski up.
Sidecut
3Dimensional Sidecut - Provides improved edge control and power underfoot while adding stability and predictability to the ski. An improved pivot point adds to the playfulness of the ski.
Sidewalls
SSCL - SSCL combines a laminate top and bottom sheet with a traditional sandwich sidewall construction. Scott optimized material usage to provide a construction that drastically reduces the weight of the ski.
Edges
Freestyle Finish - A larger base edge angle of 1.6˚ makes the ski easier to spin and more forgiving on landings and rails.
Binding Compatibility
Bindings not included
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
    All-Mountain
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker
    Rocker/Camber/Rocker
Rocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as will as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.
  • Turning Radius: Short
    Short
< 16 m radius is best for carving.
  • Core/Laminates: Wood
  • Tail Type: Full Twin Tip
    Full Twin Tip
Desinged to allow you to ski backwards, full twin tips are found primarily on park & pipe skis and freestyle powder skis. More and more, we are seeing twin tips on all-mountain skis of all abilities, as it makes it a little easier to get around, and for the most part does not inhibit forward skiing.

Comments about Scott Dozer Skis 2013:

I got these skis a few days ago and doubted them a bit for their size. I took them out and was shocked. I took them poaching under ropes to powder, moguls, park, all mountain. They ride extremely well on powder with tons of float, and is suprisingly easy in park, especially rails. I absolutely loved them and was shocked. Highly recommend
