Salomon Sentinel Skis 2012: The Salomon Sentinel Skis are a racy, edgy, powerful ski, but with a rockered tip to help them to float up in powder and ski the backcountry. The Sentinel excels in steep routey extreme terrain. Very solid in all conditions, the Sentinel is your partner when exploring the high mountain and all the terrain and conditions that come along with it.
Shape
All Terrain Rocker shape in the tip area, with a medium length and low height, enables maximum terrain absorption and easy, progressive turn initiation, without sacrificing stability. An 80% pressure zone when flat precisely transitions to a 95% pressure zone when on edge for performance and precision on all conditions.
Square tail design enables powerful turn completion on groomers and security on very steep terrain.
Construction
Sandwich Sidewalls offer extraordinary smooth ski/snow contact and great terrain adaptation. This is a must for powerful skis. Laminated sandwich sidewall construction enables Salomon to combine appropriate material layers for targeted performance.
PULSE PAD is a layer of rubber along the edges and in certain zones of the ski for a smoother ride and improved ski-snow contact.
Wide Edges are thicker for increased durability and improved shock resistance.
Total Edge Reinforcement has a fiber directly on the edges providing edge stiffness for improved durability and grip.
Flex
Full Woodcore from tip to tail offers optimum stability on snow and powerful rebound, which maximizes ski/snow contact and filters vibrations.
Dimensions
17.8m @ 170cm 129/93/119, 19.8m @ 177cm 129/94/120, 21.1m @ 184cm 129/95/121, 24.3m @ 191cm 129/96/122
Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15mm wider.

Comments about Salomon Sentinel Skis 2012:

These skis were a pleasure to ride in and out of crud. As the snow came down the Sentinel got even better. The skis carved well and did a great job in varying terrain.

Comments about Salomon Sentinel Skis 2012:

Great ski for any and all conditions! This ski floats in the soft snow and crud, and once out on the groomers rails! The little bit of tip rocker makes this a great one ski quiver.
