Salomon Enduro XT 850 Skis + Z12 Bindings 2012: Salomon is setting new standards for all-mountain skis with the Enduro series. The Salomon Enduro XT 850 Skis are high-performance all-mountain skis combining Powerline dampening system for unrivaled stability and control with all-mountain rocker for more terrain versatility. With its amazing carving ability, confidence at high speeds, and flotation in deep powder this XL Chassis is designed for skiers who ski half on-piste and half off-piste.
Shape
All Terrain Rocker shape in the tip area, with a medium length and low height, enables maximum terrain absorption and easy, progressive turn initiation, without sacrificing stability. An 80% pressure zone when flat precisely transitions to a 95% pressure zone when on edge for performance and precision on all conditions.
Square tail design enables powerful turn completion on groomers and security on very steep terrain.
Construction
Sandwich Sidewalls offer extraordinary smooth ski/snow contact and great terrain adaptation. This is a must for powerful skis. Laminated sandwich sidewall construction enables Salomon to combine appropriate material layers for targeted performance.
POWERLINE All-Mountain Active Dampening System is dedicated to wide skis. It consists of 2 arms running along the side of the ski that absorb terrain changes, improving stability in all conditions.
Oversized PULSEPAD is an anti vibration layer molded all along the front part of the ski to filter vibrations for better absorption and smooth ski/snow contact.
Total Edge Reinforcement has a fiber directly on the edges providing edge stiffness for improved durability and grip.
Dimensions
14m @ 163cm 127/82/109, 15.7m @ 170cm 127/83/110, 17.4m @ 177cm 127/84/111, 19.3m @ 184cm 127/85/112
Bindings
The Salomon Z12 Bindings are integrated onto the new Extended Transfer Platform, a wide Aluminum plate embedded in rubber for direct feedback from the terrain and better power transmission.
DIN range: 4-12
Core and Flex Pattern
Full Woodcore from tip to tail offers optimum stability on snow and powerful rebound, which maximizes ski to snow contact and filters vibrations.
Light and strong Bamboo layer provides liveliness edge to edge.
Double Ti Laminate 400 is a double layer of Titanium that improves on-piste performance with more precision, enormous edge grip, and improved responsiveness.

Comments about Salomon Enduro XT 850 Skis + Z12 Bindings 2012:

I gave this ski a shot based on what the guy at the Salomon tent offered me. I asked him what he thought I would like. This is what he gave me. Don't get me wrong the ski performed well. It was stable, held an edge and plowed thought stuff but I thought it was boring. No excitement. If you want a ski with a predictable turn shape and cruises like a caddy this seemed to be a good ski but it isn't for me.

Comments about Salomon Enduro XT 850 Skis + Z12 Bindings 2012:

These are the second pair of skis I've owned and I would not trade them for anything! I ski about 50 days a season so I need a ski that can do pretty much any terrain e.g. groomers, glades, moguls, jumps, crud, and rough. These skis are powerful and I found them hard to upset and effortless to turn plus they look awesome!

Comments about Salomon Enduro XT 850 Skis + Z12 Bindings 2012:

I'm 183 cm tall 80kg advanced/expert skier. Bought this ski in 170cm for steep Coastal Mt where we get lots of crud, ice, spring snow. Skis are very zingy then if you move boot centre back 1cm they will gs anything at any speed with stability...if you don't want to ski fast then they might not be for you....
