Rossignol Scimitar Skis 2012: The Rossignol Scimatar Skis attack every aspect of the mountain with vengeance and swagger. Its easy versatility and solid construction inspire the kind of confidence that allows skiers to send 'er and stomp every line, every time. Spin Turn Rocker is a 100% full rocker shape, and combined with a 98mm waist delivers the ultimate tool for pulverizing both park-hits & pow-shots. This unique blend of banana camber shape and Extended Sidecut gives these boards a tasty, playful feel in soft snow while also railing confidently on hardpack. With WRS and Jib Tip technology the Scimatar has a smooth, even swing weight when going BIG, while the beefy wood and microcell core construction provides a damp and stable landing pad. The Scimitar provides new school park & pow versatility for the crop of all-mountain skiers who demand it.
Shape
Spin Turn Rocker has a full rocker shaped like a banana with no camber underfoot that makes the ski playful, easy to spin, and adds pop, energy, and float in deep powder.
Extended Sidecut continues beyond contact point where tip and tail rocker start. As speeds and edge angles increase, more sidecut is engage for powerful full-length edge grip. At lower speeds the edge angles sidecut is less engages for more maneuverability and ease.
Construction
Jib Tip gives the Scimitar a rounder tip shape and a rubber layer absorbs shock and makes it more durable.
The Jib Absorption System has a rubber layer between sidewall and edge for shock absorption with an extra thick layer sandwiched in the tip and tail to absorb landing shocks and increase durability.
MiniCap Rossitop construction strengthens the top of the ski increasing durability. 30 degree sidewalls improve swing weight and reduce ski’s overall weight, enhancing edging and durability
Flex
Poplar wood creates a light and lively ski with excellent ski-to-snow feel and superb damping characteristics. Microcell foam in the core makes the Scimitar forgiving for landings. Fiberglass laminates provide power, flex, and stability.
WRS (Weight Reduction System) aligns core fibers with the ski’s sidecut shape, placing more underfoot and fewer in the tip and tail.
Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15mm wider.

Comments about Rossignol Scimitar Skis 2012:

Ski is awesome! My first full reverse camber ski. Super easy to spin and go switch with. Great carver. Ultra playful and easy to control in powder and trees. Very solid and controllable. A little unstable at high speeds, but thats fine cause its not a race ski!
