Rossignol S3 Skis - Women's 2012: The Rossignol S3 W Skis are a narrower-waisted version of the S7 W. The S3 W shares the same Powder Turn Rocker as its big sister combining low camber underfoot with high tip and tail rocker. Powder Turn Rocker provides amazing floatation, tracking and an efficient angle of attack that gives skiers effortless steering and instant speed control. At 98mm underfoot, the S3 W is a versatile and lighter-weight all-mountain powder ski that is incredibly maneuverable, easy-to-steer and forgiving. Whether using an Alpine, AT, or freeheel bindings; the S3 W has the quickness and agility perfect for poaching secret stashes in and out-of-bounds. It is a versatile adventure ski and the ideal lightweight powder tool for ladies who love exploring the all of the nooks-and-crannies on the mountain.
Shape
Powder Turn Rocker has low camber underfoot while tip and tail feature high rocker. Camber underfoot delivers power, energy, and edge grip for groomed snow. High rocker tip produces more floatation and effortless powder skiing, high rocker tail is pin-shaped for easy steering and instant speed control.
Centered Sidecut features a unique tapering tip and tail with short sidecut directly underfoot. Deep radius gives edge grip and power underfoot while short length of sidecut allows easy steering and playfulness.
Construction
Traditional sandwich construction with vertical sidewalls creates direct edging pressure.
Spoon Tip technology is a spoon-shaped tip for maximum floatation; tip profile is tapered for effortless tracking in deep snow.
Flex
Wood core with fiberglass laminates provide flex, power, and stability and make the S3’s lively.
Dimensions
17.5m @ 168cm 124/96/114
Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15mm wider.

    Comments about Rossignol S3 Skis - Women's 2012:

I am 5'2", 115 pounds and I was afraid the 168 length would be too long - but the incredible rocker to these skis made it a perfect length. Don't be afraid to go a little longer than usual if you're interested in these rockered Rossignols! I did not try them in powder (none yet...) but they performed fantastically in groomed conditions, icy runs, and choppy, crummy snow (and I was assured they would be incredible in powder). I feel like they made me a better and more confident skier. I would highly recommend trying these skis out for any women who would classify themselves as intermediate and above, and want to be able to tackle the entire mountain.
