Rossignol Experience 88 Skis + TPX/Axium 120 Bindings 2012: The Rossignol Experience 88 Skis are the most versatile and powerful all-mountain performers Rossignol has ever built. With the heart of a high-performance carving machine and a definitive freeride touch and feel, advanced skiers will instantly gel to this exceptionally strong do-it-all ski. AutoTurn Rocker combines a slightly rockered tip and tail with traditional camber underfoot to help create a ski equally at home floating through deep pow or laying trenches on groomers. On hardpack and variable snow the traditional camber delivers power, energy and edge grip while the rockered tip and tail dramatically improve turn initiation. Combined with an 88mm waist, the AutoTurn Rocker profile blasts through chop and crud, and floats through the silky deep. Whether charging glades, bowls or hardpack the Experience 88 is a true one-ski-quiver and a new breed of all-mountain high performance skis.
Shape
AutoTurn Rocker has a high camber underfoot with a low rocker in the tip and tail. Camber underfoot delivers power, energy, and edge grip for groomed run performance, and subtle rocker in the tip and tail delivers easy steering and effortless speed control for versatility in any terrain or snow type.
Extended Sidecut continues beyond contact point where tip and tail rocker start. As speeds and edge angles increase, more sidecut is engage for powerful full-length edge grip. At lower speeds the edge angles sidecut is less engages for more maneuverability and ease.
Construction
Traditional sandwich construction with vertical sidewalls creates direct edging pressure.
Cascade Tip is made up of varying shapes of metal and fiberglass laminates at staggered lengths that make the tip lighter to improve the swing weight and provide quick, adaptable turn initiation. Unique layered shapes control tip torsion, smoothing turn initiation and improving full edge contact.
New, wider binding platform designed for wide skis (80mm+) increases leverage, enhancing power and precision.
Control Beam combined with Twin VAS absorbs vibrations and facilitates rebound by direction pressure to the extremities.

Comments about Rossignol Experience 88 Skis + TPX/Axium 120 Bindings 2012:

Bindings are good, easy to install and adjust.
There were no much snow in Utah this season to test on deep, fresh snow. Those skies doesn't keep me well on high speed groomed slopes despite some people in their review claimed that skies are good for giant slalom also

Service and delivery comments:

EVO did good, delivery process was good. Only had to ask for receipt to e-mail me

Comments about Rossignol Experience 88 Skis + TPX/Axium 120 Bindings 2012:

I have had my new 186cm 88's out about 4 times in varying depths of new powder from 3" to 18" and temps from 11-29 degrees. After learning the ski's behavior we came to terms in the mogules and it was love at mid mountain.
Here is the kicker, I am 60 and 6'6" and tip in at 220. You seldom find folks my age and size anywhere near the moguls but these skis were disigned to impress you no matter where you are on the mountain. I found them very fast in the bumps with excellent tip control and due to the combination of standard camber underfoot and rocker at the tip and tail, they also produce great edge control and bite like junkyard dogs.
The wood core and laminate const. of these skis is a sweet marriage of physics and fun. They stear and float softly through powder and grab with a death grip on the groomies. They dice down tight tree lines with ease and when you encounter thrashed out runs they quietly rail through turns with stability that will cause you to grin and forget about your girlfriend waiting for you to ski her down the blues..
They are heavy as is typical of skis this width, but not so much as my Atomics.
