Nordica NRGy 90 Skis 2015

Nordica Shop all Nordica
New for 2015, the Nordica NRGy 90 Skis are coming in hot with the specifically engineered i-Core Ti. This ski is lightweight yet solid for superior all mountain shred-ablility. The CamRock technology features camber under foot and rocker in the tip thus allowing you to float in soft snow and still carve on hard pack. Other features like ABS sidewalls, UHMW bases, and steel edges make this ski stand in a class of its own. Get the Nordica NRGy 90 Skis and relax because, like their namesake, the skis will exert all the energy for you to rip up the entire mountain.
Rocker Type
All Mountain camRock - All Mountain camRock technology pulls the traditional contact point of the tip back about 25% creating slight tip rocker to aid the camber under foot. The result - increased flotation, velocity and maneuverability in soft snow as well as significantly increased easy of turn initiation in any condition.

Core
i-Core Torsion Bridge Ti - Full woodcore with Torsion Bridge technology has allowed Nordica to build the next generation of All Mountain skis. By removing specifically engineered geometric shapes from a full sheet of Titanal, the Torsion Bridge provides NRGy skis with the performance of metal without the extra weight and sluggishness that typically comes with a traditionally constructed metal ski. This results in a revolutionary construction that is extremely lightweight yet torsionally strong and confidence inspiring in all conditions and terrain.

Laminates
Prepreg Carbon - Four carbon laminates above and below the core
Torsionbridge Titanal
Poliamide Top Sheet
Sidewalls
ABS Sidewalls
Base
UHMW Base - Ultra High Molecular Weight sintered graphite Gallium base

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
    All-Mountain
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber
    Rocker/Camber
Rocker/Camber skis pair a traditional cambered profile underfoot with an elongated, early rise tip borrowed from fully rockered skis. This profile places the front contact point further back from the tip, while the rear contact point remains close to the tail. The rockered tip allows for better flotation and less edge catch for increased float in deep snow, while the cambered rear stores and transmits energy similarly to a fully cambered ski.
  • Turning Radius: Medium
    Medium
17-22 m radius is best for all-mountain and park & pipe.
  • Core/Laminates: Metal, Wood
  • Tail Type: Partial Twin Tip
    Partial Twin Tip
Partial twin tip skis have a tail that is turned up, but not as much as the tip. This gives you the ability to ski backwards and back out of tight spaces, but these skis are mainly designed to ski forward.
