Comments about Nordica Hell & Back Skis 2013:

I'm 5'10", 190#s, 29yrs; have skied the 177cm Hell & Backs 4 days on these skis in Utah. These skis are the best all around ski I've ever ridden hands down. I rode the entire 2013 Salomon fleet at a demo day in AK last year and the Shoguns are the only thing that somewhat compare. The Hell & Back is lighter, more stable, and more agile than the Shoguns.

These skis carve great on groomers, make crud seem nonexistant, float powder well, and are very quick in moguls. My knees love the light weight of these skis on the lift and when jump turning tight trees.

I can't say enough good about these skis, the stability and ease of carving on groomers makes them a fun ride back to the lift. At the end of the day they cut the crud like a heavy weighted stiff ski. If moguls are your main focus they're better skis available; however if you want something that allows you to hit the expert terrain and then run a few mogul runs before cruising the groomer back to the lift then these are the skis for you.

The 177 length feels much like my 165cm Salomon Scream 10 Pilot Hots.

Con - not a big deal to me, but the rear tip could be turned up a bit more. I wouldn't recommend riding switch outside of fresh groomed trails.
