Line Skis Influence 115 Skis 2013

Line put the fun back into the steep and deep with agility simply not found in other big mountain skis. The hard charging, big mountain Line Skis Influence 115 Skis should be your weapon of choice for slaying massive faces and bottomless bowls. A rigid sidewall and Metal Matrix™ give the Line Skis Influence 115 Skis untouched control and stability for high speeds and big lines, while a slightly softer flex and increased Early Rise™ in the tip make the ski fun in powder, soft snow, and mixed conditions. The Influence 115 is truly one ski that will never let you down.
Shape
Early Taper™ - The widest point of sidecut starts tapering earlier in the tip to reduce tail drag and hooking in powder.

Rocker Type
Profile - 11-4-9mm (Early Rise Tip/Camber/Early Rise Tail)
Early Rise™ - The rise in the tip and tail starts earlier for effortlessly staying on top of the snow without needing to sit back and easier turn initiation.

Construction
Thin Tip™ - A super thin core and sidewall in the tip is 100 grams lighter per pair for reduced swing weight and tip bounce.

Capwall™ - Cap construction on the top allows for a light and responsive performance, combined with sidewalls over the edges for a smooth, solid feel.

Flex
Directional Flex™ - The softer tip floats and initiates turns easily while the stiffer tail provides power, stability and high speed control.

Sidecut
5 Cut™ - 5 different sizes of sidecut radius shapes are blended into one, for intuitive control and unlimited turn shapes.

Core
Maple Macro Block™ - 2 full length Maple stringers surrounded by Aspen for the best of both worlds.

Laminates
Carbon Olliband - Tip to tail carbon-fiber stringers enhance energy and pop when ollieing over snowboarders.

Metal Matrix™ - 3D Die cut metal titanal laminate provides more power and grip where you need it while reducing weight where you don’t.

Base
Fatty Sintered Base and Edge™ - 30% thicker base and edge dramatically increases durability and tuning life.

Graphics
STS (Super Top Secret) creates fearless, bold designs that will knock your socks off.
Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.

Big-mountain fun

Comments about Line Skis Influence 115 Skis 2013:

The new Influence 115 has an updated shape similar to the Mr. Pollard's Opus. I love the Opus for a playful powder ski, so throw in some metal and you have a hard-charging big-mountain version for much more stability at high speeds. Compared to the original Influence 115, the 2013 model has early taper and some tail rocker. I still charges from steeps, to chunder, to ice, but is not afraid to slash surfy turns. The tail rocker lets you turn this ski on a dime on a stiff ski without any worry of washing out.

New Influence

Comments about Line Skis Influence 115 Skis 2013:

The Influence 115 got a slight upgrade. Billed as Lines big mountain ski first gen 115 had camber through the tail and a slightly different shape. With the success of the Opus from this season Line took the design ideas of that ski and applied it to the Influence. With contacts points move in on the ski and addition of mellow tail rocker, it is a lot more forgiving. The tips hook less and the turn shape can be varied a bit more. I like this because previously I felt like it only wanted to make big turns. The 2013 Influence 115 can charge hard now but its a lot easier to shut down speed than in previous years. If you like the playfulness of the Opus but want something a bit more stable for high speed variable terrain here is your answer.

Impressive - A Lot of Ski

Comments about Line Skis Influence 115 Skis 2013:

I'm 5'11" and 185lbs. I demo-ed these skis (longer size) for several runs and was loving 'em. Out of 7 pair of skis I went through these were by far the most stable. They mowed over everything I but in their way and loved loved loved high speeds. Turning is not their specialty. I took them through a tree run and was a little overwhelmed. That said, if you like a stiff powerful ski that will are stable as a tank, this is your choice.

Comments about Line Skis Influence 115 Skis 2013:

I have been waiting to do a review until I skied this ski in good conditions and I finally was able to get some with the Influence 115. The mountain had about 15 inches new snow over the last 2 days and 8 inches from the night before. This is very easy ski, never sank at all even on flat ground at slow speeds. Very easy to make long big turns and just as easy to shut down and make quick turns. It Railed on the groomers, handled the crud with ease, didnt crush the crud but was A LOT of fun through it(I like to pop up in the crud) and lastly it floated like a DREAM. Stiffer than the Opus but definitally not a Crazy stiff 2x4. Still had lots of flex and pop in and out of turns. Couldnt ask for anything better for me. I bought these without a demo and couldnt be happier. This is a great one ski quiver for me and for someone looking for a ski that has a backbone but still just tons and tons of fun.

Powerful, great edge control and hold. Stable platform in the crud, not the best for landing switch in deep snow.

    Above the Influence, BAC 1.15

Comments about Line Skis Influence 115 Skis 2013:

With about 3" of fresh and crust underneath, the Influence was a nice balance both for flaoting and carving. Having become used to full rockered skis I had to work a lot more for each turn, but still did what I wanted and was fun.
