Line Skis Afterbang Skis 2012: Four years of development have resulted in this innovative and best-selling freestyle destroyer. The Line Skis Afterbang Skis bring you the same technology you’ve grown to love in your skate deck with 7-ply Maple straight to the sidewall. Throw in Butter Zones™ and Carbon Ollieband™ and you have innovative jib-specific technologies no other ski possesses. Butters, nollies, rail transfers; bang it all out with the Line Skis Afterbang Skis.
Shape
True camber from tip to tail for powerful pop and control
Symmetric Geometry is a 5-radius sidecut with the same tight radius in the tip and tail for initiating turns easily riding forward and backwards.
Construction
Skate Deck™ construction is built of 7-ply horizontally laminated Maple veneers for shock and durability. It uses 50% less plastic than a sidewall ski and 60% less wood waste.
Carbon Ollieband™ consists of tip to tail carbon-fiber stringers laminated into the core for more energy and pop
Extruded Fatty Base & Edges are durable and easy to repair
Flex
7-ply Maple veneer is horizontally laminated like a skate deck for uncompromised strength and snap.
Butter Zones™: top veneers end at a specific point in front and behind the binding to create a distinct hinge point for smooth nose/tail presses and buttering without restricting ski performance
Symmetric Flex has the same flex in front and behind your boot for the same feel riding forward or backwards.
Dimensions
18m @ 177cm, 115/88/115 (all sizes)
Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15mm wider.

Comments about Line Skis Afterbang Skis 2012:

I have used these ski's probably 10-15 times already this year and they are beat. They do not last very long. The first weekend with them, parts of the top design started to smudge away and huge chunks came off the sides. Now, people who ask me about them tell me they don't believe me when i say i got them this year. Although the ski's are beat up, they still ride very nice. The Carbon Ollie Bang or something like that allows for huge pop just like a skateboard which makes getting onto rails and boxes much much easier. If you can afford to buy this ski at the beginning or ending of every season I would say go for it. If however, you cannot afford to do that, and lets face it, not many of us can, try to find a more durable, longer lasting ski.
