The Line Skis Afterbang Skis are every jibber's #1 tool for creative, bombproof, buttery good times. They are the only ski in the world built like a skateboard. Throw in Butter Zones™ and Carbon Olliebands™ and you have innovative, jib-specific technologies no other ski possesses. Butters, nollies, rail transfers; bang it all out with the Line Skis Afterbang Skis.
Rocker Type
Profile - 0-4-0mm (Tip/Camber/Tail)
Flex
Symmetric Flex™ - The same flex pattern in-front and behind your boot conforms to terrain equally riding forward and backwards.

Butter Zones - The thinnest point of the ski in front and behind the binding to create a “hinge” point for smooth, controllable butters and presses without sacrificing all-mountain handling.
Sidecut
5 Cut™ - 5 different sizes of sidecut radius shapes are blended into one, for intuitive control and unlimited turn shapes.

Core
Skatedeck™ - 7 plys of horizontally layered Maple veneers are built the same way as a skateboard for unbeatable strength and shock resistance.
Laminates
Carbon Olliband - Tip to tail carbon-fiber stringers enhance energy and pop when ollieing over snowboarders.

Base
Fatty Extruded Base and Edge™ - 30% thicker base and edge dramatically increases durability and tuning life.
Graphics
Theocy Design blends punk, street art and intricate design into bright colorful pieces that pop.
Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.

Comments about Line Skis Afterbang Skis 2013:

As an east coast skier I bought the Afterbangs in their first year, and over this time have learned that this is a ski of definite and obvious strengths and weaknesses. Any day trip to the park will tell you that the carbon ollieband and super flexible construction are nice for hopping on rails and boxes, and the skate deck construction means the ski doesn't stop feeling like its new, even if it's been several years. However, take the Afterbangs into any powder at all and be prepared to stop and get your poles ready. They're grabby at best and useless at worst in the powder. They fare only marginally better in encounters with crud or choppy snow.
As a side note, the super awesome artwork on top and the sidewalls get absolutely destroyed after any real use. The skis still ski the way they did when I bought them, but every day on the mountain ends in reapplication of epoxy, not something I was counting on in a ski billed as indestructible.
Cannot wait to try a different line product, perhaps one better suited to more than one type of terrain.
