Liberty Antigen Skis 2014

There's nothing quite like a rockered park ski. With a Bomb Rocker profile, the Liberty Antigen Skis are light, nimble and playful. At 89 mm underfoot, these fully symmetrical skis can also ski natural terrain, anywhere on the mountain. Press, jib and stall your way onto a pair of Antigens from Liberty.
Rocker Type
Bomb Rocker - Bomb Rocker features full tip and tail rocker with slight positive camber under foot for maximum flotation and a playful feel.

Flex
Flex Rating: 4 (1 Softest - 10 Stiffest) - A soft flex in the tip and tail and a medium flex under foot
Shape
Fully symmetrical
Core
Bamboo Backbone - Every Liberty ski features a hand-made, bamboo/poplar laminate core that is light, strong, lively and eco-friendly. Each core and flex pattern is fine tuned for the intended application, but starts with the strength and durability of bamboo to provide a dependably energetic ride, time after time. If you've never ridden a bamboo-core ski, definitely give it a try.

Laminates
Durathane - A polyurethane bumper to smooth out the ride and protect against topsheet chipping
FRP - Mats of dense Fiber Reinforced Polymer that are to increase screw retention and to add rigidity
Sidewalls
ABS - Extra thick ABS over the edges helps reinforce against impacts and transmits energy for enhanced edge grip and feel.
Base
P-Tex 2000 - A fast, porous and durable base from the industry leaders
Edges
HRC 40 - The HRC 40 edge has slightly lower hardness rating, with a wider profile and larger anchors to dissipate heat and increase impact resistance.
Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Park & Pipe
    All-Mountain
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
    Park & Pipe
Park and pipe skis, often called freestyle skis, are for skiers who spend the majority of their time on jumps, rails, and jibs of all kinds. Traditionally park and pipe skis have narrower waists with full camber profiles, but this category is incorporating more rocker patterns and different shapes. You will almost always find these skis with twin tips as well as other park specific features like thicker, more durable edges, dense extruded bases, and butter zones.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker
    Rocker/Camber/Rocker
Rocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as will as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.
  • Turning Radius: Medium
    Medium
17-22 m radius is best for all-mountain and park & pipe.
  • Core/Laminates: Bamboo, Wood
  • Tail Type: Full Twin Tip
    Full Twin Tip
Desinged to allow you to ski backwards, full twin tips are found primarily on park & pipe skis and freestyle powder skis. More and more, we are seeing twin tips on all-mountain skis of all abilities, as it makes it a little easier to get around, and for the most part does not inhibit forward skiing.
