Make the most of those epic northwest dumps with the Lib Tech POW NAS Skis! When it comes to powder and freeskiing, these skis really know their stuff. Ample width in the waist and rocker in the tip and tail makes these things float like none other. Don't worry though, when the fresh stuff is lacking, these things can carve the groomers and get you back to the lift with no effort at all. Magne-Traction keeps the POW Skis stable in variable snow conditions and gives them crazy edge hold. No matter what the day calls for, grab your narrow ass snowboards and head to the slopes!
Rocker Type
All Terrain / Pow Recurve - Featured on POW, Magic Horsepower Freeride, Freeride, Wreckcreate and Fully Functional Five NAS. Pow specific reCURVE (Rocker/Camber/Rocker) incorporates the additional float, lift and pre-initiation of rocker beyond the short camber fulcrum.
Flex
Flex rating - 6.5 / 7 / 7.5 going up the size range
Sidecut
Magne-Traction - Serrated Steaknife Edge Grip: Magne-Traction adds edgehold and focuses the control and power under your feet where your balance is centered. Each bump or serration is strategically sized and positioned. The most aggressive bumps are in the center near and under your boot for maximum edgehold and control. The bumps are progressively less aggressive out towards the tip and tails creating catch-free user friendly tips and tails. Magne-Traction’s incredible edge control when combined with reCURVE’s easy turn initiation and float make for an unreal smooth ride in all terrain and conditions from ice to pow.

Specs

  • Terrain: Big Mountain, Powder
    Big Mountain
Big mountain skis are designed for charging big lines with high speeds and big airs. These skis varry in width from wide, powder-oriented skis for skiing Alaska spines to narrower, mixed condition skis for ripping the beat up headwall at your local mountain. Skis in this category tend to be on the stiffer side, often with more rocker in the tip and less in the tail.
    Powder
These skis are for the deep days. If you like to find powder stashes at your local resort, go on backcountry missions for the freshest of fresh or heli ski trips to BC, powder skis are what you need to stay afloat. Skis in the powder category are wide and most often have some form of rocker or early rise plus a relatively soft flex. Many powder skis today are versatile enough to handle mixed conditions and harder snow.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker
    Rocker/Camber/Rocker
Rocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as will as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.
  • Turning Radius: Medium
    Medium
17-22 m radius is best for all-mountain and park & pipe.
  • Core/Laminates: Wood
  • Tail Type: Full Twin Tip
    Full Twin Tip
Desinged to allow you to ski backwards, full twin tips are found primarily on park & pipe skis and freestyle powder skis. More and more, we are seeing twin tips on all-mountain skis of all abilities, as it makes it a little easier to get around, and for the most part does not inhibit forward skiing.
