K2 Press Skis 2012: The K2 Press Skis aren’t your ordinary price point, capped park ski. With a durable wood core, Jib Rocker™, and deeper sidecut, the Press can perform tricks only seen in gnarshmellow, carve well between features, and can easily handle all the abuse you throw at it. It is feather-light for reduced swing weight and the rocker/flat profile gives it the combination of buttery feel with the stability you desire, and deserve. No sacrificing here; the Press is a killer park ski at an unbeatable price.
Shape
Jib Rocker™ has an elevated tip and tail with zero camber underfoot to offer the best blend of playfulness for butters and surface tricks combined with increased pop for unmatched ollie power.
Directional Taper Sidecut maximizes the performance of the ski in the forward direction. The ski makes a slightly different arc when skiing switch.
Construction
Cap Construction is durable, lightweight, and softer, built by a sophisticated molding process that envelopes the core and internal materials with the top layer of the ski.
Tip/Tail Hardware - rivets for durability
3.5mm steel edges are durable and far more resistant to cracking.
Flex
Aspen core is solid and dense, known for its inherent strength and durability.
Triaxial Braiding consists of braiding fiberglass around the wood core to provide torsional rigidity for added control. This makes the ski incredibly energetic and responsive.
Park Flex Pattern is softer in the tip and tail with some rigidity underfoot for ollies.
Dimensions
23m @ 179cm 113/85/104 (all sizes)
Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15mm wider.

Comments about K2 Press Skis 2012:

This is a great ski and i highly recomend it to any skier looking to advance their skills in the park or learn to ski switch such as me. this is the second ski i have owned and the first twin tip. i am so glad i purchased this ski. it is flexy but also very stable. it is also very lightweight. this ski makes it so easy to ski switch too, you'll be a master in no time. i have only used this ski once this year in early season conditions but it held up well on the groomers and even some icey spots it was still very stable. i highly recoment this ski to any beginner to advanced skier looking for a twin tip to hit the park or shred the whole mountain. oh, and if freakin GLOWS IN THE DARK!!!!??...!!!

Comments about K2 Press Skis 2012:

these are great skis, but mostly for park use. they did fine on groomed runs, but they didn't hold up very well when it got to the choppy stuff. you can't have it all though --- the flex is great for the park and very playful. but there's no way that flex is good for when you're charging down the mountain full speed. i mean, you could, but i didn't feel as stable as i feel on stiffer skis.

overall, i think they're a great ski for a great price. love the way they look too. got a lot of compliments, and a bunch of ladies thought they were "cute" --- good way to start talking to the snowbunnies!
