K2 Kung Fujas Skis 2013

The K2 Pep Fujas Skis showcase style and confidence in any kind of terrain, so it should be no surprise that he created and fine-tuned the most versatile design in the Factory Team series to fit all his needs. From pillows to park, trails to rails, trees to tricks and firm snow to soft, the K2 Kung Fujas Skis remain an unmatched quiver of one.
Shape
All-Terrain Rocker™ - Designed for all snow conditions, featuring an elevated tip for variable and soft snow performance and camber underfoot for power, energy, and edgehold in firmer conditions.

Bi-Directional Taper - The tip is wider but closer in width to the tail. This lets the ski perform exceptionally well while skiing in the forward direction, but the taper enables the skier to have similar switch arcs for better and more consistent switch riding.
Powder Tip - Pulls the widest point of the tip further down the ski, which retains float in soft snow, and also minimizes deflection in adverse snow conditions.

Construction
Aspen/Paulownia Core - Aspen is known for its inherent strength and durability, while the Paulownia is eco-friendly and lightweight.
Triaxial Braiding - Consists of braiding fiberglass around the wood core to provide torsional rigidity for added control, making the ski incredibly energetic and responsive.

TwinTech Construction - Increases the durability of K2 sidewall skis by rolling the top material into the sidewall, reducing the angle that is prone to abuse, severely reducing ski to ski impact damage.

Graphics
**Please note that base colors will alternate and may not arrive exactly as pictured.
Additional Features
Tip/Tail Hardware - Rivets originally designed for durability now have the additional option of attaching K2 Trim To Fit Skins for climbing.
3.5mm Edges are thicker and far more resistant to cracking.
Swap Base - Ski bases are made with inverse colors so that less material is wasted
Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.

Comments about K2 Kung Fujas Skis 2013:

The Kung Fujas is what I call the perfect "One Ski Quiver." This ski does it all, carves beautifully, tears up chunder and crud, can rip a mogul line, or lay it down in the terrain park. I usually use this ski in the park, it's nice and soft which makes it more forgiving and playful that most skis. But the Kung Fujas is also a wonderful carving tool. It is smooth and stable on the groomed runs and carves very well. This is a versatile ski, when there is fresh snow, the Kung Fu is wide enough and just perfectly rockered to float and tear through powder and chunder. This is what makes it perfect for any day on any mountain. It will handle whatever you throw at it.

Comments about K2 Kung Fujas Skis 2013:

Demoed these on Turoa ski field in NZ and loved them. Went straight out and bought a pair.
Playfull, stable, easy to ski with suprisingly good edge grip.
I demoed lots of other skis of similar type over the last two seasons (Shoguns, Francis Bacons, S7s, S3s, and many others) and these just felt right.
I am 65kg/1.7m and ski the 179cm. I also ski a pair of Dynastar 6th sense distorters in 167cm and the k2s don't feel too big in 179.
All up, really fun, capable ski.

        Kung Fujas Review

        By cshalbot

Comments about K2 Kung Fujas Skis 2013:

The Fujas is easily K2's most versatile model from their Factory Team Series. With a softer tip and tail that flex similar to the Hellbent it makes it really easy and forgiving to ski. It can be your pow ski, it can be your all mountain ski, it can even be your park ski. It's that good everywhere. I still found it to be stable under foot which made it easy to control regardless of conditions. It does everything so well so I don't want to pigeon hole it as a specific user but really think a skier who wants the feel of a park ski that will handle anything that is thrown at them will feel most at home on these.

Comments about K2 Kung Fujas Skis 2013:

I just rode my 189cm 2013 K2 Kung Fujas for the first time. They are true all mountain sticks. All Mountain meaning powder, crud, groomers, park, and everything in between. If you are riding ice all day, maybe not the ski for you. But if you like to charge in mixed conditions with confidence, these guys will suit you nicely.
