K2 Iron Maiden Revival Skis 2012: The K2 Iron Maiden Revival Skis are the park-comp ski of choice for K2 Factory Team athletes. Its rock solid construction combined with ABSorb Sidewalls makes this ski stable enough to rip any terrain forward and to handle the toughest of landings switch. The all-new Jib Rocker and bi-directional taper makes the ski easier to maneuver for effortless presses and butters on a variety of features. The limited edition Iron Maiden graphics compliment these skis to a science; the Revival Skis slash through park and the pow, the Iron Maiden graphics slash through souls.
Shape
The Bi-Directional Taper tip is still wider but closer in width to the tail. This lets the ski perform exceptionally well while skiing in the forward direction but the taper enables the skier to have similar switch arc for better and more consistent switch riding. Unlike other categories in the K2 line, the twin tips are designed to perform both forward and switch
Jib Rocker – 0% Camber, 20% Rocker – Designed for the terrain park, this elevated tip and tail with zero camber underfoot offers the best blend of playfulness for butters and surface tricks combined with increased pop for unmatched ollie power.
Construction
The new Twin Tip Specific construction of TwinTech increases the durability of sidewall skis. A traditional sidewall construction produces a 90 degree angle where the top material and sidewall meet. The Twin Tech construction actually rolls the top material into the sidewall reducing the angle that is prone to abuse. The horizontal sidewall construction of the ABSorb sidewall sandwiches a urethane layer in between ABS for shock absorption, lessening the impact of harsh landings to the rider. Urethane is used underfoot to maximize the dampening but ABS is used toward the tip and tail to maximize performance and edge control.
Flex
Use: Powder: 40%, Park: 60%
Triaxial braiding in the core consists of braiding fiberglass around a wood core to provide torsional rigidity for added control. The patented machine interlocks strands of fiberglass around a milled wood core. This unique method produces skis with great torsional strength, while maintaining the lively flex patterns of the wood core.
Binding Compatibility
Requires a binding brake width between 90mm and 100mm

Comments about K2 Iron Maiden Revival Skis 2012:

I love these skis does great on the grooms, pow and park. Dosnt catch edges on the boxes and rails but is grippy on the grooms. And of course it is not great on the ice as long as you arnt flying 35 mph your okay but when you go fast on the ice you get out of control but thats normal for a ski with no camber. This ski has great pop and has a soft landing. I love the graphics to when i saw them in a ski magizine i was like i gotta get those. They also bring a lot of attetion when i brought them to the ski shop to get them mounted the guy was like hey guys come check this out there sick skis and I hope if you are looking at buying these skis that you know the band Iron Maiden or else you gotta learn about them. When you buy the skis you gotta run to the hills!

Comments about K2 Iron Maiden Revival Skis 2012:

I really like these skiis in the bumps. They seem to disappear when tracking down my line. They are soft enough to bend on the bump. I really like the width. I was concerned about how wide they are, however, they turn very quickly.
