K2 HellBent Skis 2013

The original undisputed ruler of the powder skiing underworld still reigns supreme. There is no question that the K2 HellBent Skis are the ultimate ski for floating and tricking through bottomless zones, but they are no longer content with just ruling the deep; the HellBent carries enough camber underfoot to make the whole mountain your playground, even after the resort is tracked out. Don’t like tracks? Add on K2’s Pre-Cut Climbing Skins for further access to deep snow missions.
Shape
Powder Rocker™ - Designed for deep snow with the most elevated tip and longest measurement of rocker, offering skiers a “surfy” feel with enhanced soft-snow performance. The camber region still exists to ensure edge hold in firmer conditions.

Powder Tip - Pulls the widest point of the tip further down the ski, which retains float in soft snow, and also minimizes deflection in adverse snow conditions.

Construction
Fir/Aspen core - Solid and dense woods known for their inherent strength and durability.
Triaxial Braiding - Consists of braiding fiberglass around the wood core to provide torsional rigidity for added control, making the ski incredibly energetic and responsive.

TwinTech Construction - Increases the durability of K2 sidewall skis by rolling the top material into the sidewall, reducing the angle that is prone to abuse, severely reducing ski to ski impact damage.

Graphics
**Please note that base colors will alternate and may not arrive exactly as pictured.
Additional Features
Tip/Tail Hardware - Rivets originally designed for durability now have the additional option of attaching K2 Trim To Fit Skins for climbing.
3.5mm Edges - These are thicker and far more resistant to cracking.
Swap Base - Ski bases are made with inverse colors so that less material is wasted
Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.

Comments about K2 HellBent Skis 2013:

This Ski is for those who desire to blow threw anything while having their minds blown. My mind is like a spaceship on these things, and launching into space is always an option here. If you are lost and need to be found, the top sheet is disguised because this ski is all that is good when it comes to ripping well just about anything on the mountain. Peace!! :D

Comments about K2 HellBent Skis 2013:

It is the worst thing on groomed. I am terrified on all groomers. I don't know how k2 gets away with forging reviews like that. It is kinda fun in the powder but not as maneuverible as many other powder skis out there.

Comments about K2 HellBent Skis 2013:

This ski has been my favorite for years now, and I don't use it solely for powder skiing. The Hellbent is much more versatile than it appears. While it is the ultimate deep snow ski, it also excels in skied-out crud and carves very well on the groomers. But when there is fresh snow, in the resort or in the backcountry, this ski floats like no other. It is playful and easily maneuverable, surprisingly light for such a big ski, and also surprisingly stable on firmer snow. My favorite thing about the Hellbent is it's ability to jump, butter, and stomp landings in powder, either forward or switch. No other ski has ever performed better for powder jibbing. This ski turns the whole mountain into your playground. And they are very durable, you can surely ski a single pair of Hellbents for many years.

Comments about K2 HellBent Skis 2013:

The graphics on all of the Hellbents are horrible, morbid, and violent....but The ride is well worth picking up a few stickers to cover them up. These skis are unbelievable on moguls, groomed, in the trees and best of all in the pow! They also ride switch great! I have skiied them on Michigan ice and in Clorado and Utah Powder and they are unbeatable. I can't even put words to how fun these are to ride.... YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

        Hellacious Ride

        By Dean

        from Stevens Pass

Comments about K2 HellBent Skis 2013:

Fun set of skis, they turned some spring deep into a fun run. I was able to have more fun and ski longer in the powder because of how well the floated and kept me on top of the snow. It was my first time on fat rockers. It was a stable platform. These rip the crud.

        Amazing

        By Jennifer

        from Stevens Pass

Comments about K2 HellBent Skis 2013:

I only skied the 179 which was big for me at 5'2" but much to my surprise completely manageable. Better float than anything I have ever ridden before even in the super heavy wet stuff.

Comments about K2 HellBent Skis 2013:

Unchanged other than another cruel graphic from the design guys at K2. Skiing on this is just easy. You don't realize its 132 underfoot. Althought the tip and tail waiver in the snow on anything but the deep torsionally they are sound and provide plenty of stability even on the groomers. The little bit of camber helps initiate the turn and provide edge grip on the bumpy traverses out of the BC.
