Carve groomers, ski some freshies, do it all with the Head REV 98 Skis. ERA 3.0 architecture provides next level AllRide Rocker for easy turn initiation and reduced tip dive in powder. Progressive radius combines with Intellirise Rebound for a stable, vibration free tip in variable conditions. Enjoy the entire mountain with the Head REV 98 Skis!
Rocker Type
ERA 3.0 (Evolutionary Rocker Architecture) - ERA is rocker done right. For superior steering and increased flotation, ERD 3.0 features 20% tip rocker and 80% camber, paired with a progressive radius that provides increased edge contact for more grip. Finished off with an Intellirise Rebound which uses piezoelectric Intellifibers in the skis' tips to eliminate vibrations, ERA 3.0 is at the pinnacle of ski design.
AllRide Rocker - Rocker that is equally at home on bulletproof snow as it is in powder. This profile uses early rise in the tip with regular camber throughout the rest of the ski. 20% rocker / 80% camber.
Sidecut
Progressive Radius - For tremendous turning: Regular rocker makes skiers place their ski further on edge to have it touch from tip-to-tail. With progressive radius, up to 50% less angulation is needed to enjoy full edge contact.
Laminates
Sandwich Cap Construction - Head takes the basic framework from its World Cup sandwich and adds a cap that just wraps over the top edge of the sidewall to make the ski more suitable for all mountain skiing. Bomber construction with a rounded top edge makes for one incredible all-mountain ski.
Intellirise Rebound - Head has moved their legendary piezoelectric Intellifibers to the top of the ski. The nasty tip vibrations found on regular rockers are not found here. These skis are too smart for that.
Base
Structured UHM C Base - The same high quality material used in Head's world-leading race skis is used here, with a different all-conditions structure.
Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
    All-Mountain
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber
    Rocker/Camber
Rocker/Camber skis pair a traditional cambered profile underfoot with an elongated, early rise tip borrowed from fully rockered skis. This profile places the front contact point further back from the tip, while the rear contact point remains close to the tail. The rockered tip allows for better flotation and less edge catch for increased float in deep snow, while the cambered rear stores and transmits energy similarly to a fully cambered ski.
  • Turning Radius: Short
    Short
< 16 m radius is best for carving.
  • Core/Laminates: Wood
  • Tail Type: Partial Twin Tip
    Partial Twin Tip
Partial twin tip skis have a tail that is turned up, but not as much as the tip. This gives you the ability to ski backwards and back out of tight spaces, but these skis are mainly designed to ski forward.
