Fischer Watea 120 Skis 2012: Bring on the deep, the Watea 120 is ready to take you to the white room…and the carbon I-Beam Construction means they’re even prepared for the sketchy traverse on the way. With Powder Hull, Freeski Rocker and tapered tip/tail, this ski will surf the deepest of fluffy white goodness with ease.
Shape
Twin Freeski Rocker - the long Freeride shovel rocked by 2 to 5 mm gives you perfect floating characteristics.
The Powder Hull ski shovel allows for an awesome freeride feeling. Direct from speedboat engineering, it drives through the snow, pushing it to the side like the bow and hull of a boat in water for maximum maneuverability, faster skiing, more precise guidance, better float and faster turns.

    I'm an ex-racer/coach (6'2-210 lbs) with extensive backcountry powder and heli experience. Tried the Watea 120 (189 cm.) as a demo in 40 cm new medium heavy powder/chopped powder after demo's on big mountain/powder K2, Line,Salomon,Rossignol, Black Diamond. Great ski, excellent flotation, skied the steep tree crud like a race car and was quick turning on those gottabe turns in the trees. So good I bought them off the Fischer rep. Carved on the harder pack.

    Comments about Fischer Watea 120 Skis 2012:

    The Fischer Watea 120 is a big floaty ski with and oversized boat tip. Like the whole Watea line, it is skiable everywhere. The 120 is great in any type of heavy snow, and the boat tip and transitioned tip rocker make this big ski very easy to swivel. I skied this in heavier snow that hard to call powder, and the Water pushed through it with ease.
