Atomic Ritual Skis 2013

Part of the new Vantage Series, the Atomic Ritual Skis are equipped with All Mountain Rocker, Step Down Sidewall construction, and Titanium Backbone technology. Thanks to new Backbone technology with its special shape, wide all-mountain skis benefit from perfect flex and high torsional rigidity from ski tip to tail while weight is kept to a minimum. By directly integrating a Ti Backbone into the core of the ski, Atomic’s new Vantage Series delivers exceptional running stability, tuned longitudinal and torsional flex patterns, incredible edge grip and integrated reinforcement for maximum performance.
Shape
All Mountain Rocker: for all-mountain skiers seeking ultimate versatility, providing maximum support in soft snow on any terrain, convincing carving characteristics as well as stress-free drifting on-piste
Versatility with 20% tip rocker / 65% camber / 15% tail rocker
Twin Prog Sidecut: hook free stability at the top of the turn combined with exceptional edge hold and acceleration out of the turn
Construction
Wood core
Titanium Backbone: maximum performance and stability, allowing even the most challenging of terrain to be mastered with ease
Ti Backbone and wood core maximize the power flow and therefore improve edge grip. Vibrations in the Rocker area are effectively dampened by the Backbone. Plus its shape allows for effortless turning thanks to consistent rigidity and performance
Dimensions
18m @ 174cm 128/103/117, 19m @ 182cm 130/103/119, 20m @ 190cm 132/103/121
Additional Features
Step Down Sidewall: the extremely durable sidewall construction below the binding improves damping, shock absorption, and therefore edge grip. Half-cap construction at the tip and tail protects the ski from mechanical damage.
Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.

Comments about Atomic Ritual Skis 2013:

I demoed these up at Whistler and absolutely loved them. I was looking for a pair of all mountain skis, and I think I've found them. They carve great, even on icy spots, and I felt totally confident taking them everywhere, even into some steep couloirs.

      Ritual Review

      By cshalbot

      Staff Reviewer

Comments about Atomic Ritual Skis 2013:

The Ritual is a new ski for Atomic building off the Coax model from the past. The Coax was a great ski and I think under publicized as not many people bought it. For the Ritual they changed the sidecut to be a bit more progressive, and also stiffened the tail with a Backbone of sorts. It may have been the longer than normal size for me or the stiffer tail but I didn't enjoy it as much as some of the other Atomics I have skied. They lacked the pop and energy I have grown to love. Some people are gonna love this ski, for me it was just okay. I enjoyed it the more I pushed on it but I want a ski that is a little more forgiving and doesn't require me to be working the ski all the time.
