Atomic Century Skis-Women’s 2012: With a 100mm waist, the Women’s Atomic Century Skis can really float in the powder. A generous rocker shape allows the Century to rise to the top but is still very nimble for when you find yourself in tighter tree runs. A full wood core with a softer flex lets you handle the Century with ease off-piste and transitions well to the groomed runs. You couldn’t really ask for more.
Shape
Powder Rocker 10 profile for supreme float in the tip and traditional camber underfoot for power and stability on the groomers
Construction
Step Down Sidewall construction has a sidewall underfoot and cap in the tip and tail so the Century is powerful and playful
Edge to edge quickness with solid edge hold
Flex
Full wood core makes the Century poppy, easy to steer, strong on edge and float for days.
Dimensions
14m @ 146cm 126.5/100/118.5

Comments about Atomic Century Skis - Women's 2012:

I have the 2011... but I demoed the length below the 176 and LOVED THEM. I ended up buying the 176 because everyone told me to get longer when you go early rise. But they ended up being too heavy for that and I had a hard time controlling them/ my legs would get soooooo tired in moguls and crud... moral of the story: lean more on the shorter side.

        a good all mountain tool

Comments about Atomic Century Skis - Women's 2012:

Personally I prefer a wider, more rockered fat ski but the Atomic Century is a good all mountain ski for women looking to spend most of their time between groomed terrain and some off-piste pow and crud.

I have the 2011 Atomic Century. I am 5'2 and ski on 156. These ski's are great on everything but very hard pack and ice. The graphics are way cool too.

Comments about Atomic Century Skis - Women's 2012:

I LOVE THESE SKIIS! It was honestly between the Kiku's and these babies- I chose these because they are great for EVERYTHING pow, groomers, bumps, trees... Great ski, super responsive, fun, and lightweight compared to the Rossy s7's which I hated. The camber provides the security and manuevarability you want on less epic days and the rocker lets you float when you want to rage. BUY THESE LADIES!

Comments about Atomic Century Skis - Women's 2012:

This has been a slow season in Vail (i.e., very little powder to play in) BUT, I have ridden these since opening day and with 45 days on them so far ~ I'm madly in love! I put on the big-girl panties when I ski so at 6'1" I ordered the 176cm and I am so impressed! Great at speed, super-fun and bouncy in the bumps, light-weight and, oh, did I mention beautiful? I get comments on them all the time! The little I've been able to experiment in powder, I've found the rocker truly gives me the confidence to 'get outta duh backseat' and enjoy! Also - they have made me fearless in crud! Do yourself a favor ladies - get these skis.

The Century is very stable and skis well on groomed runs as as in deeper snow. I like a flat tails for attaching skins.

              The surprise of the Century

Comments about Atomic Century Skis - Women's 2012:

"I rode the Atomic Century 156 at Crystal Mountain on one of the best days of the season. Bluebird, and pow, not much more that I could have asked for. I was pretty excited to try out the Century, but I was disappointed after a few runs. Fortunately, I had the chance to ski the Century again at Mission Ridge, and the outcome was completely different. I was nothing but smiles after giving this ski a second chance. This time around I rode the 166cm Century, and I am stoked to say that the longer length made all the difference. I found the ski to be more stable at higher speeds, and so much more floaty in deeper snow. This is without a doubt the ski of the century.

Comments about Atomic Century Skis - Women's 2012:

Solid ski but no pop on the tuns in hard packed snow. Rocker in the tip takes the jolt out of crud/bumps.

Women's Ski for the Soft Stuff

              By Dr. Sue

              from Stevens Pass

Comments about Atomic Century Skis - Women's 2012:

Easy quick turn initiation. Rocker tip absorbed the bumps. Firm enough underfoot and in tail so that allows for the occasional save or recovery. Lack of sidecut makes it calm at speed in the flat but minimal acceleration with carving GS. Light swing weight helps make it lively but don't fall asleep at the controls at high speed. Deflects away from ice chunks rather than powering through them, but a balanced stance will keep you out of trouble.
