Comments about Atomic Atlas Skis 2012:

Skied the 182 on hardpack and it was decent. It hooked up and held an edge. Got a chance to ski it in a bit of soft snow and this ski shined. The tail is solid for completing a turn, yet you can pitch it sideways to shut it down from high speeds. The ski feels rock solid making big GS turns over traverses and other peoples tracks.

Comments about Atomic Atlas Skis 2012:

I am skiing on the 2011 model, but as far as I can tell, the only difference to the 2012 is the top skin graphic. I'm 5'9", 180 lbs, and skiing the 182 cm length. I got the skis for powder, and with the rocker tip they are brilliant for that, but because they have camber underfoot they also perform superbly on groomed trails; unlike a pure rocker design, these skis can carve. The 182s are great for skiing tight lines in the trees. They also handle well in crud and choppy conditions, and even do pretty well in bumps. I wouldn't ski these on an icy New England day, but for almost any other use they are fantastic.

Long turns on hardpack. Feels great in the soft snow more work in the chop but a great carver for a big ski.

Comments about Atomic Atlas Skis 2012:

I'm 6'2" 220lbs. This was a hard charging ski that I actually liked fairly well. On days that I am going too hard for by Bents this might very well be the ski I would grab

    Atlas Review

Comments about Atomic Atlas Skis 2012:

On hardpack, real strong carver at speed. Because of the rocker tip, you can make it turn pretty well on the moguls but real "sticky" release at the end of a turn- slower transition to the next turn due to the width. Widest ski I have ever skied, usually ski around 75mm in the waist. Not very versatile but strong in the crud . Probably the powder performance would make up for a lot of the compromises.
