Armada Triple J Skis - Youth 2013

Also known as the Junior JJ, the Armada Triple J Skis know how to float on powder and rail on hard pack. The Triple J can do it all. If being versatile enough to rip in any conditions is your thing, no problem. If impressing the 5th grade babes by riding switch is your game, no problem. Getting mom and dad to buy you these skis..?? No problem!
Rocker Type
EST Freeride Rocker - The best of all worlds. Rockered tips and tails combined with positive camber underfoot to promote flotation in soft snow and provide remarkable edge control on the harder stuff.
Flex
Stiffer Flex - Allows the skier to get more aggressive on steeper slopes knowing that your skis will hold the turns, but it requires more technique to control
Flex Pattern - Tip: 6, Waist: 7, Tail: 6.5 (1=soft; 10=stiff)
Shape
Tapered Tip and Tail - 5 dimension ski with the tip and tail narrower than the contact points
Dimensions (tip/contact point/waist/contact point/tail) - 122/131/112/128/118 mm
Core
Hybrid Ultralight Core - Ultralight core using select wood stringers that have unusually high strength-to-weight ratios, UltraLight cores allow our widest skis to maintain a light-yet-stable feel.
Laminates
Laminate Matrix - Deliberate directional layering of fiberglass dictates flex pattern and torsional rigidity and allows each ski's flex to be precisely tuned. Bi-axial fiberglass runs in an “x” pattern down the ski to control lateral flex; Uni-directional fiberglass controls flex along the length of the ski; Tri-axial fiberglass, with fibers running in three directions, beefs up the center of the ski.
Sidewalls
CAP Construction - This method wraps the wood core with composite fiberglass layers creating a torsion box. The base assembly is inserted into the mold, then the fiberglass wrapped core and top material are added. A variable slant between the base and topsheet creates a super-durable and light ski with a balanced flex.
Base
S7 Base - Armada's toughest base is durable and low maintenance, with a speed additive for quickness.
Edges
1.7 Impact Edge - The edge height and width is deliberately smaller and the steel is heat-treated to a proprietary hardness to increase durability and decrease weight.
Binding Compatibility
Bindings not included
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Comments about Armada Triple J Skis - Youth 2013:

When i got rid of my old skis, i was worried that i wouldnt be able to find a ski that would be as good. i found this ski. it looked good, so i bought it. ive never been more impressed! the ski could float on powder as if it were nothing. The carving ability was totally better then i was expecting despite the fact that the ski has a 110 waist. When i went to the terrain park, in was once again impressed. i popped a 540 cleanly and the ski rode switch out of the jump with absolute ease. i would totally recomend this ski to an expert jr skier that likes to ski big mountain powder as well as go big off of jumps in the park
