Armada Halo Skis 2013

Big airs, kinked rails, it's all in a days work for a park junkie! The Armada Halo Skis are the ultimate park ski as it utilizes the five dimensional park rocker giving it a slight tip and tail rocker that ensures no hang ups. If you're looking for a ski that is super quick edge-to-edge and and playful then the Halo is a good choice for you. The Armada Halo is perfect for beginners or experts who like a softer flexing, more forgiving park ski.
Rocker Type
EST Park Rocker - The next level. Subtle rocker in the tips and tails with positive camber underfoot. This enhances carving while also disengaging the tip and tail to create a catch-free feel that’s ideal for buttering and nose and tail presses.
Flex
Flex Pattern - Tip: 5, Waist: 7, Tail: 6 (1=soft; 10=stiff)
Shape
Tapered Tip and Tail - 5 dimension ski with the tip and tail narrower than the contact points
Dimensions (tip/contact point/waist/contact point/tail) - 94/111/81/100/85 mm (170), 95/112/82/101/86 mm (176), 96/113/83/102/87 (182)
Core
Hybrid Double Zone Core - Two high density wood stringers rest alongside ultralight wood in the ski's core, and add to stability and strength without compromising weight.
Laminates
Laminate Matrix - Deliberate directional layering of fiberglass dictates flex pattern and torsional rigidity and allows each ski's flex to be precisely tuned. Bi-axial fiberglass runs in an “x” pattern down the ski to control lateral flex; Uni-directional fiberglass controls flex along the length of the ski; Tri-axial fiberglass, with fibers running in three directions, beefs up the center of the ski.
CK Stringer - Carbon Kevlar combo stringers lie on top of the laminate matrix along the tail to brace the ski. This increases the landing platform, especially when weight is distributed farther back in the ski than intended. It also gives the ski more pop and extends ski life.
Sidewalls
AR50 Sidewall Construction - ABS sidewall meets cap construction – the best of both worlds. This engineering method combines the lightweight cap construction in the tip and tail with ABS sidewall underfoot, resulting in enhanced edgehold and significantly lower swing and overall weight.
Base
S7 Base - Armada's toughest base is durable and low maintenance, with a speed additive for quickness.
Edges
2.5 Impact Edge - This edge has an oversized height and width, and the steel is heat-treated to a proprietary hardness, which helps resist breaking and tearing out from rails, ledges and any other abuse it might meet.
Binding Compatibility
Bindings not included
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Comments about Armada Halo Skis 2013:

Great skis! The rockered tip and tail allow these to shred through crud, while still being able to hold a nice edge on hard pack. They were real playful and made butters and ollies easy and fun.

Comments about Armada Halo Skis 2013:

Draws the perfect line between a playful & serious (big air/cambered) park ski. The rocker allows you to butter & surface spin easy, while the camber allows you to get those sharp responsive turns in. An amazing ski all around.

For the right skier it's perfect

      By Cshalbot

Comments about Armada Halo Skis 2013:

This ski has a pretty distinct feel to it. It responds best to someone who skis really flat footed and doesn't drive the tongue of their boot. I'd you relax and I need into your room. Will you let me know when you get back roll the ski over it carves well. Lazy style park skiers will love how playful and slidey these are at slow speeds.
