Armada Alpha 1 Skis 2010: Elf Shoe Tech – it’s not just for fat skis anymore! The very idea behind the design that makes the ARG and the JJ so versatile has been brought to its logical conclusion in the new Armada Alpha 1. This is the first pipe and park ski that incorporates rocker and the extended tip and tail profile of Armada’s famed powder skis. While the loose feel and ridiculously low swing weight make for an ideal jibbing tool, its lengthy sidecut still provides stability and edge-hold on hardback. With the Alpha 1, the evolution has begun.
- Core and Flex Pattern:AR Hybrid Core 2: This core construction method creates a finished ski with sidewall underfoot and cap construction in the tip and tail to improve durability and lower swing weight. Forgiving in the tips, stiff underfoot.
- Construction:2.5 Impact Edge: This edge exists for one reason – it’s durable. Designed to resist breaking and tearing out from rocks, rails and another abuse it might meet. AR 50 Sidewall Construction: Enhanced edge-hold and significantly lowered swing and overall weight. Comp Series Base: World Cup-inspired base is made for speed. It is high maintenance and designed for controlled environmental conditions like its race ski brethren
