    My daughter turned 7 this ski season and she really wanted to start using poles (mostly to propel herself through the lift lines!) I bought these because they are adjustable and will get more than one season out of them! They twist to adjust and had no problem with them coming loose once locked at the right height.

      I got these for my 6 and 8 year old girls. They like them and it saves me from getting new poles each year as they grow. Adjustablity is their strength, but that is also it's weakness. The twist mechanism for locking them in place can come loose after use. It appears to happen more frequently with the shaft adjusted to it's shortest length. Both of my girls are pretty advanced and skiing black off piste terrain (e.g. Extrovert and terrain around it in Alta), so I think they put them through rigorous use.

      Overall, we've been happy with the purchase.
