The Black Diamond Traverse Ski Poles are all-aluminum two-piece adjustable poles made even better this year with the bomber Flicklock® Pro stainless steel adjustment system. This pole is tough as nails, doesn't slip when you plant it hard, and when you do break a shaft you can replace it cheaply through Black Diamond s website. Everyone from backcountry beginners to badass first descenders uses these.

        Very light but very durable. Used to snowshoe up and board down. Downfall is that they are not the triples, which I now have and which are best for snowboarders. I did lose a basket on the first day of use, though. Make sure to get extra baskets!
