Volkl Charisma Skis + iPT eMotion 11.0 Bindings - Women's 2015

The Völkl Charisma Skis + iPT eMotion 11.0 Bindings are an excellent choice for the traditional advanced level woman skier who spends most of her time ripping the established runs at the resort, with occasional mad dashes into the softer stuff. Light and nimble due to the Xtra Light Paulownia wood core but with the guts to hang on hardpack due to Dual XTD Transmission construction, the Charisma is an all-mountain performer that doesn't wear you out by day's end.
Rocker Type
Tip Rocker - An early rise tip combined with traditional camber underfoot provides easy and smooth turn initiation in any snow conditions.
Flex
Bio-Logic Flex - Völkl carefully matches the flex to complement their Bio-Logic stance and geometry parameters. A bit stiffer in the tip for quick turn initiation and a bit softer in the tail for easy exit from the turn allows you to ski longer with less fatigue.
Sidecut
Bio-Logic Geometry - Bio-Logic sidecuts are wider in the tip and narrower in the tail than unisex designs and feature a tighter radius in the front of the ski and a longer radius toward the tail. This shape lets the skier finish the turn with less effort and reduces stress on the knees.
Shape
Bio-Logic Stance - Bio-Logic models with tip rocker use the profile of the ski to create a more level stance, allowing less loading of the quads and better, more relaxed performance.
Dual XTD Transmission - Raised reinforcement channels over the sidewalls and edges help reduce chatter and improve edgehold and stability.
Core
Extended Xtra Light Wood Core - Super lightweight cores of Paulownia extended upward to support the Dual XTD Transmission shape
Laminates
Powered by Steel - A metal layer just under the topskin delivers dampness and power at speed.
Included Bindings
Includes Marker iPT eMotion 11.0 Bindings
Bindings Do Not Come Mounted to Skis - Always have a certified binding technician mount and adjust your bindings.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
    All-Mountain
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber
    Rocker/Camber
Rocker/Camber skis pair a traditional cambered profile underfoot with an elongated, early rise tip borrowed from fully rockered skis. This profile places the front contact point further back from the tip, while the rear contact point remains close to the tail. The rockered tip allows for better flotation and less edge catch for increased float in deep snow, while the cambered rear stores and transmits energy similarly to a fully cambered ski.
  • Turning Radius: Short
  • Core/Laminates: Wood
  • Tail Type: Flat
    Flat
This is your traditional tail, designed to have edge contact all the way through the tail, and only designed for skiing forward. This is also preferred for alpine touring, as you can stick the tails of your skis in the snow.
