Rossignol Super 7 Skis + SS Bindings - Used 2013

The Rossignol Super 7 Skis are hard-charging, pow-slayers perfect for the powder-seeking expert skier who pushes just a little bit harder. Featuring two layers of titanal, this beefed-up version of the S7 delivers increased stability and liveliness for aggressive rippers. The Powder Turn Rocker delivers fatigue-free maneuverability, effortless steering and instant speed control. A Centered Sidecut provides the all-terrain versatility and edging power simply not found in other wide-waisted, rockered skis. With an award-winning blend of versatility and float, the Super 7 Skis will up your game whether you're slashing through secret stashes or surfing through backcountry pow. This package includes SS Bindings.
Rocker Type
Powder Turn Rocker - With 50% standard camber underfoot and 50% rocker in the tip and tail, this rocker profile offers tons of float in the deep stuff, while still retaining the edge control of traditional camber on hardpack.
Sidecut
Centered Sidecut - Featuring a unique tapering of tip and tail with short sidecut directly underfoot with a deep radius, this shape provides edge grip and power underfoot, while a shorter length of sidecut allows for easy steering and playfulness.
Core
Titanal in the core adds incredible longitudinal and torsional rigidity
Laminates
Sandwich Laminate - A wood core with metal and/or high tech laminates provides ultimate stability, power and durability.
Sidewalls
Traditional sidewalls apply direct pressure to the edges for increased precision and edging power
Additional Features
Spoon Tip - The tip is wide and raised so that the very tip can be used for control in powder: very useful for all the new techniques of modern freeride. The shape also gives better flotation.
Included Bindings
Rossignol Speed Set Axial2 120 Ski Bindings - 3.5-12 DIN range // Demo track with large amount of aajustability for different boot sole lengths
Bindings Do Not Come Mounted to Skis - Always have a certified binding technician mount and adjust your bindings.
Dual Action Toepiece - Four points of contact with the boot provide maximum power transmission // 180 degree multi-directional release delivers more reliable release // High vertical and lateral elastic travel provides shock absorption and reduces inadvertent release // 45 mm lateral travel // Reinforced housing increases binding integrity // Wide mounting zone for better contact with wide skis
Axial2 Heel - Strong power transmission due to angled lateral arms // High forward pressure elasticity improves ski rebound and responsiveness // 25 mm of vertical elastic travel, the longest travel of any binding on the market, reduces unwanted pre-releasing // Wide mounting zone for better contact with wide skis

Specs

  • Terrain: Powder
    Powder
These skis are for the deep days. If you like to find powder stashes at your local resort, go on backcountry missions for the freshest of fresh or heli ski trips to BC, powder skis are what you need to stay afloat. Skis in the powder category are wide and most often have some form of rocker or early rise plus a relatively soft flex. Many powder skis today are versatile enough to handle mixed conditions and harder snow.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker
    Rocker/Camber/Rocker
Rocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as will as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.
  • Core/Laminates: Metal, Wood
  • Tail Type: Full Twin Tip
    Full Twin Tip
Desinged to allow you to ski backwards, full twin tips are found primarily on park & pipe skis and freestyle powder skis. More and more, we are seeing twin tips on all-mountain skis of all abilities, as it makes it a little easier to get around, and for the most part does not inhibit forward skiing.
