The K2 Bolt Jr Skis + Fastrak2 7 Bindings are a no-holds-barred, lay-it-over and leave some trenches carving setup for kids. The Bolt Jr. stops just short of race ski performance on the hard stuff, leaving a bit of flexibility for crushing those lines just outside the area boundary, and the 16 meter sidecut radius lends itself to speed. Built with K2's full Torsion Box construction and Hybritech Sidewalls, this rig is simply itching to get out and carve some turns.
Rocker Type
Speed Rocker - Delivers high performance precision, power and edgehold on hard snow
Stiffer flex for aggressive skiing
Precision Piste - A blunt, short rise tip with distinct rocker combines with substantial camber and a flat tail to produce rebound, power and edgehold that locks in all the way through the turn.
Aspen Core
Triaxial Braid - K2's unique and patented Triaxial Braiding machine interlocks strands of fiberglass around a milled wood core, resulting in pronounce torsional strength while retaining the lively properties of wood.
Torsion Box Construction - Torsion Box construction is the foundation for the widest range of skis designed by K2. Depending on the dimensions of a ski, and the amount of flex and torsion designed into it, one model of a Torsion Box ski can differ greatly from another. The versatility in the construction enables K2 to build everything from entry-level through expert skis. While there will be significant differences between skis, they do share the common traits of ease, forgiveness, responsiveness, and energy that can be found in all Torsion Box skis.
Hybritech Sidewalls - Unique blend of sidewall and cap construction that yields accuracy, power and performance underfoot while remaining lightweight with smooth turn initiation
Included Bindings
Includes Marker Fastrak2 7 bindings
Bindings Do Not Come Mounted to Skis - Always have a certified binding technician mount and adjust your bindings.

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Carving
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
For those that like the classic feeling of laying a ski over on edge and arcing a perfect turn, carving skis are what you want. These skis have narrower waists and shorter turn radii for edge to edge quickness and responsive turn initiation and exit on groomed runs and hard pack. The beginner-intermediate skis in this category are designed to make learning how to turn as easy as going from pizza to French fries.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber
Rocker/Camber skis pair a traditional cambered profile underfoot with an elongated, early rise tip borrowed from fully rockered skis. This profile places the front contact point further back from the tip, while the rear contact point remains close to the tail. The rockered tip allows for better flotation and less edge catch for increased float in deep snow, while the cambered rear stores and transmits energy similarly to a fully cambered ski.
  • Turning Radius: Short
  • Core/Laminates: Wood
  • Tail Type: Flat
This is your traditional tail, designed to have edge contact all the way through the tail, and only designed for skiing forward. This is also preferred for alpine touring, as you can stick the tails of your skis in the snow.
