Head Supershape Team LR Skis + LRX 7.5 AC Bindings - Kid's 2014

Want to know how to keep your grom on the snow instead of in the lodge? Put them on a setup like the Head Kid's Supershape Team LR Skis + LRX 7.5 AC Bindings. Designed with durability and ease of use in mind, the Supershape Team LR skis feature a structured surface topsheet and an ERA 2.0 shape design, which will keep your young one skiing hard all day, boosting progression like never before. Finished off with Head's LiteRail system that allows the bindings to be adjusted to fit multiple boot sizes without re-drilling, this ski package will perform for many seasons to come.
Rocker Type
ERA 2.0 (Evolutionary Rocker Architecture) - ERA 2.0 is the little brother of ERA 3.0 and everything 3.0 has to offer as far as design, performance and geometry integration, but without the addition of "Rebound" with its piezoelectric Intellifibers.
AllRide Rocker - For superior steering and increased flotation, Head places 20% tip rocker with 80% camber throughout the rest of the ski. This ensures maximum performance for all ability levels.
Progressive Radius - With progressive radius, up to 50% less angulation is needed to enjoy full edge contact. With more edge contacting the snow, more edge grip is created for tight and agile turn characteristics.
Sidecut
Jr. Power Frame - A geometric ski shape that provides structural strength to the outer edges of the ski through geometric design, as opposed to altering the core material or density of the ski. Also, for kids it looks cool and feels different than a standard flat ski.
Laminates
Structured Surface - An extra durable topsheet with a structured exterior. Designed to hold up against the most extreme abuse.
Base
E Base Black - Basic black never goes out of style, and it's always durable. Easy gliding is everyone's friend.
Additional Features
LiteRail - LiteRail allows the bindings to be adjusted to cover boot sole lengths ranging from 199 to 347 mm, without having to drill extra holes in your skis. This makes the system ideal for both adult and youth ski setups.
Included Bindings
LRX 7.5 AC Bindings
SX Junior Toe - The innovative kinematics of Head's LX and SX adult line provide advantages in performance and stability for the SX Junior line for young speedsters as well.
AFS Junior - The innovative mechanical Anti Friction Slider (AFS) automatically adjusts to the boot sole height, compensating for A / C standards as well as height differences due to icing up, dirt or boot wear.
Bindings Do Not Come Mounted to Skis - Always have a certified binding technician mount and adjust your bindings.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Carving
    All-Mountain
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
    Carving
For those that like the classic feeling of laying a ski over on edge and arcing a perfect turn, carving skis are what you want. These skis have narrower waists and shorter turn radii for edge to edge quickness and responsive turn initiation and exit on groomed runs and hard pack. The beginner-intermediate skis in this category are designed to make learning how to turn as easy as going from pizza to French fries.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber
    Rocker/Camber
Rocker/Camber skis pair a traditional cambered profile underfoot with an elongated, early rise tip borrowed from fully rockered skis. This profile places the front contact point further back from the tip, while the rear contact point remains close to the tail. The rockered tip allows for better flotation and less edge catch for increased float in deep snow, while the cambered rear stores and transmits energy similarly to a fully cambered ski.
  • Turning Radius: Short
  • Core/Laminates: Wood
  • Tail Type: Flat
    Flat
This is your traditional tail, designed to have edge contact all the way through the tail, and only designed for skiing forward. This is also preferred for alpine touring, as you can stick the tails of your skis in the snow.
